Although there is an element of truth in what you're saying and I honestly don't wish to be rude, but you don't half come over as one arrogant bastard. Maybe there's also a good reason why the older generation have "variable" respect for the younger element of our society, many of whom think the country owes them a living? There's a case for saying that many of these need to "earn respect" as well and not just demand it.
First of all, without the demand you don’t need the supply. 2nd, I have seen numerous predictions where house prices will just continue to rise. Our housing market is boom - bust, it always has been. House prices are high because people are paying too much for them. It’s simple. The question is can they afford it? I say we’ll find out when interest rates creep up. Yours isn’t the only generation to go through this you know. It’s happened many times before and it will happen again. As I said, in 1988 I bought my first house because I thought, stupidly, that unless I did I’d never get on the property ladder. Within 6 months I was offered 10% more than I paid but turned it down, again possibly stupidly. Around the end of the 80s the mortgage rate was 16% and my repayments were £750/month. I was on £200/week. I moved back in with my parents, quit my job and started my own business that sorted me out. I didn’t cry that the government had shafted me. I didn’t blame my parents for egging me on to buy a house. I did what people did before the champagne socialist elite took over. I worked fkn hard and got over it. It was stressful but I couldn’t take time off. It was hard work but I couldn’t blame my employer. I was doing ridiculous hours but had no one to complain to about it. My point is that this generation expects everything on a gold fkn plate! If you want a house get another job, cancel sky, buy a **** cheap car, buy an old iPhone with a sim only deal. Just that will save people enough to get a deposit for a house. Don’t tell me how **** your life is because I know, mine was too when I was younger. Sorry got a bit emotional
We'll be going back to ****in' hoss'n'carts anyway if those brainwashed ******ed dumb hippies get their own way
What will happen if you do go back to horse and carts? Who will be the first to complain of the horse sh*t in the streets and the flies? Who will complain about the flatulence and the emission of methane that's ruining the ozone layer? You can't please everyone, you know. And on the subject of motor industry, didn't the EU move one of your motor manufacturers off-shore a while ago. If memory serves (and it doesn't always) it was Vauxhall and they moved it to one of the eastern countries.
Where did I say the younger generation deserve respect? And of course I come across as an arrogant bastard to you because I'm a Leeds fan and you're a Cardiff fan. I have Marcelo Bielsa managing my club and you have Neil Warnock. You literally feed my superiority complex.
