That’s why it won’t happen as you describe. Even France and Germany, though talking about working together, are not contemplating their entire armed forces. The problem is LL you want to believe this nonsense so you scratch around for anything that backs up your delusions. You’ll tell me that uk defence journal article says something to support your view - everything gets forced into a previous delusion. Honestly you are beyond hope and not worth interacting with. Just enjoy your delusions.
Do try and keep up 2020.......................what part of "do try and keep up" don't you understand?. You assumed wrong 2020........................Again.
NATO is just an organisation that has many independent countries as it's members, same as SEATO and other similar organisations. They do not have sole control over a countries military forces. NATO, like SEATO are more like a referee in times of conflict with an external threat. Member nations are there to protect each other if an external conflict cannot be resolved peacefully, and, to stand against any external invasion, basically like Hitler did. The MOD control our forces with the Queen being the CIC. Highly unlikely, but any NATO member can refuse to get involved in a conflict for one reason or another.
Hey, you leave me out of this, sonny. If I were still in the UK I'd be the first to leave. Bugger the frogs and jerries. In fact I left before you will, fifty years ago.[/QUOTE] Did you get deported for fooking up the quoting system by chance ?
Two more Windrush murders in Londonistan within a couple of hours of each other last night the ****in ****hole is a war zone
Why is it ludicrous? Just because we can't do the deals doesn't mean we shouldn't already know what we're planning to replace that ease of trade with and how. I wouldn't be happy for our trade to be strangled by the EU but I don't believe it is. You have heard positive reasons for staying you just don't agree with them - there is a difference. As for the I believe in Britain I'll leave this here - https://www.newstatesman.com/politi...and-dangers-buccaneering-view-british-history But should be an interesting weekend for remain and leave - should then have an idea if these talks are actually the real thing - if Boris get's a deal and we leave then he wins the election. Will the DUP and ERG let him?
Did you read the figures from the link to the gov.UK website? Our trade with the EU has been falling consistently since 2006 whereas our trade with the parts of the rest of the world that the EU allows us to sell to has been growing. Staying may be good for you but it isn't for over 17.4m people. The deal we have at the moment is like Nigeria saying to us that we can sell stuff to them tariff free but we need to adhere to all their regulations, accept the jurisdiction of the High Court in Lagos, allow free movement of people, and pay them a small fortune for the privilege. When you remove the EU from the other side of the table it doesn't sound so good, does it? I must have missed the uplifting positive reasons for staying. I just saw basic health cover, roaming charges etc which aren't any reason to stay shackled to a rotting carcass. LL posted a link to an article detailing pre-agreements with 40 countries, which, considering we can't actually sign anything is very positive. When I said that I believe in Britain, I meant that we are a nation of entrepreneurs and I trust us to take advantage of the opportunities leaving the EU creates. I started reading the article. He hates JR Mogg, Boris... So I searched his name. Here is a list of his recent articles: https://www.newstatesman.com/writers/324107 I think he may favour remaining in the EU, don't you?
Here's a new one, if Turkey forces the 3.6 million Syrian refugees on the EU,how many weeks before the EU disintegrates out of existence, I recon about a month, Poland, Austria, Hungary and loads more will refuse any and under EU threats could all gatecrash out. We might be the last one's left in
The EU does not stop us from trading with anyone. Why is China Germany's largest trading partner? It's just like Nigeria if Nigeria had an economy of 18.8 trillion like the EU as opposed to their actual economy of 475 billion. Despite what you may have been reassured in your life, when it comes to trade deals, size matters and bigger is better. The UK being part of the EU gets better trade deals because of the size of that collective trading market. Now you can certainly make a case that we can get more unique niche trade deals based on our needs but no one is making a market case for that or explaining what the niches are that we need unique trade deals for (well jam and tea apart....) People go on about fishing which is 0.1% of our economy when if you wanted to talk about things that British are actually good at you'd be looking at stuff like the fact that we're a major player in the gaming industry and guess what they're not looking for unique trade deals, it's the reverse they want to stay in the EU. Those pre-agreements are just rolling over our existing EU trade deals with tweaks - it's to try and ensure we don't fall back too far it's not a sign of us moving forwards . You're dismissing the arguments of that article based on the author rather than what's in the article. What does we're a nation of entrepreneurs mean?
