You think cheese and pasta aren't reliant on farming...... (Oh and I'd probably recommend stopping slapping your face I think it might be effecting your thought process)

New Zealand remained the major source of Australia’s food imports followed by United States, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. While China’s share in Australia’s total food imports was largely unchanged in 2010-11, it increased to 7.3% in 2010-11 from 3.1% in 2000-01.

Australia’s food imports from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries grew by 28% in 2010-11. The increase was mainly contributed by the increased non-alcoholic beverage imports.

Oh if you mean how does the rest of the world cope picking crops without Romainian Labour then the answer is that in the more economically advanced countries they rely on migrant workers.

    Australia - http://theconversation.com/how-migr...ure-of-australias-agricultural-industry-66422

    America - https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...dent-on-migrant-workers-idUSN1526113420070723

    New Zealand - http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/far...le-changes-could-hit-dozens-of-taranaki-farms

Do you seriously think farming hasn't changed since the sixties? Are you typing this stuff on the internet or are you having it sent in by telegram?

Why would I need to do that?
You do know that half of the food UK farmers produce gets thrown away don't you?
    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...lf-of-the-food-produced-each-year-790318.html
We produce far too much compared to what we need and what we export - could do with less farms tbh!

Stark truth - we don't need a million migrants to pick 20 million tonnes of food that we don't need!!

It actually costs 13 billion of which 5 billion is spent in the public sector in the UK. So for a net spend of 8 billion we gain access to the worlds largest single market where we currently export 240 billion pounds. Seems like an ok deal to me.

    Yes
