What I want and what our MP's want are two dirrerent things. The things I want are really very simple. British laws for British people. The ability to trade freely with any country in the world The ability to control who and who does not have the right to enter our country. Simples!
The scaremongers are the ones who don't want a no deal Brexit, but they can't stop it, irrespective of the vote. "No deal" Brexit is the default deal if both parties cannot agree on a withdrawal deal.. Yvette Cooper has used the one chance by winning a vote to allow T May to ask for an extension, yet T May was going to ask for it any way, so granting T May to ask the EU for an extension was a waste of time and cannot be put forward again.......Yvette Cooper, the ugly 2 faced back stabbing worm who went after Tommy Robinson...............Interesting, that TR has never been officially declared a terrorist, radical extremist, racist, traitor or enemy of the state..not even Britain's most wanted, except to us TR supporters of course.. All about Brexit, and what would be required to try and stop it. https://theconversation.com/brexit-is-it-possible-to-stop-it-107750
I think you must be mistaken as we’re leaving on 29 March 2019. sorry I think you must be mistaken as we’re leaving on 12 April 2019. JRM makes alot of things clear it doesn't mean that they are correct. *spoiler alert* He's not actually as intelligent as he sounds.
Read my latest post, it contains a link about stopping Brexit, and what's required......................
And a new European commisioner will start on 1 November is 'official' reason - obviously it was just a compromise between a year and end of May.
It contains an opinion on what is required and acknowledges there are alternative opinions 'A revocation of Article 50 would have to be initiated by the UK. It’s anticipated that parliamentary approval, via an act of parliament, would also be required to revoke Article 50, although some constitutional lawyers disagree. ' Here's an alternative opinion on why it wouldn't https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/brexit/2019/03/26/we-can-and-should-revoke-article-50-heres-how-to-do-it/ Over riding the legality at present is the political - the only slim way A50 would have been revoked was if there was no time left for any alternative and with parliment rejecting No Deal and May's deal leaving the only option of revoking A50. With the extension that very slim set of circumstances won't happen.
I have and could you point to where it disagrees with the point I was making? There is legal disagreement as to whether it would require an act of parliment but politically it would. I presume you meant to call me a plonker as in the English for idiot rather than Plonka as in a Polish surname?
They were never consulted in the first place, think they should have their own non binding referendum.
Has it occurred to anyone that the extension that allows the MEP elections is useful to every political party? All of whom are sh1tting themselves about the next General Election, btw. I think they're ALL waiting to see how our country votes. If you think about it, it will reflect what a referendum would - the mood of the country. They don't know what the current mood is, hence the fence-sitting to protect their parties (although it's now gone on too long & they're beginning to realise that they're damaging their parties by their inaction). Only once they get a feel for what the populace wants will they act. That is EXACTLY what is stopping them at this moment in time - self interest, or to a lesser degree, party interest. They have no idea what the people want, despite the referendum result, hence they are not acting one way or the other. Do not expect any progress until the EU elections are complete.
The 2016 referendum reflected the mood of the country, the result of which clearly stated that said mood was 'pissed off with the UK being an EU member, we want to leave.' "If voting made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it." Mark Twain
