Theresa May reduced to begging, EU says no renegotions, Macron facing a vote of no confidence, just like May is; might mean Merkel's vote of no confidence is just round corner. Looks like we're on track for a no deal considering the number of times Parliament is having a recess between now and next year.
Funnily enough Chesh, I read somewhere, or watched a video where it was said there is no legal requirement for a Brexit deal, or paying the EU corrupt money.
A managed no deal Brexit would be the best way, where no money is paid to the EU and we enter WTO after a 6 month transitional period Davis favours that approach
. Bring it on. So we can finally rule out the fantasy they can get a better deal or that there's a parliamentary majority for that deal.
There isn't LL, its just Treason trying to be 'nice' to the EU and trying to appease the remoaners back home who have no intention of moving forward for the good of the country.
Sounds good to me, when do we start. I like the bit about no money to the EU. Interesting times ahead.
The better deal is there to be had and that’s the so called no deal exit. Bumpy to start with but we’ll ride it out better than the rest of Europe.
And then I like the bit when we have a general election after there is chaos, food shortages, economic crash and we get rid of these ****s for at least 10 years
Europe as in those that would suffer most to include Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium. None can start new trade deals where as we could. Europe relies on one currency for all, one country falls it drags the value down for them all, we just take care of the pound. Europe are restricted on taxation, we could do what we want, we can raise and lower interest rates, we can relax tax on businesses or give concessions to bring new business in. We can implement new things at the drop of a hat, Europe have to persuade each member state that its best for them when in reality as long as it’s okay for France and Germany. David Davis did a very good radio article yesterday outlining it all and how scaremongering is rife and to note it’s the rest of Europe doing most of it. It’s the scaremongers and those unwilling to accept change that would make it more painful than is needed.
Diane Abbotts got it all costed, she's employing 250,000 extra police on a wage of £3 a week FULL EMPLOYMENT who would have thought Labour would bring back the work house days.
We currently grow 61% of the food we eat. The rest comes from overseas (79% from the EU). Under WTO rules of course we can continue to import this but we have to collect a tariff and inspect the goods. This takes time. At present 99% of goods received from Dover are from the EU. So if you add even a couple of minutes to checking this then that port grinds to a halt. And for perishable goods that is not good. Now we could drop all import tariffs but if we do that we have to do it for every nation - so suddenly we are flooded with imports which destroys UK agriculture and means we have no control over standards. Are we going to starve? No. Will there be food shortages? Yes. And again if you ask the majority of the country - do you want chaos and food shortages for a blue passport and less Polish aisles in Tesco - you're going to get a very different answer to do you want to give 370 million to the NHS....
