Sparky- Hi - enjoying taking the prem by storm? Thanks for the £10m for Reid by the way!
Did you read any of my post? This Brexit folly means far more to me than the price of turnips - it’s the future of my country and my children’s future.

Yeah R&W, I read all your post and you didn't mention the turnips once fair play.

Don't worry too much about Brexit though pal. Now we've scrapped the Severn Bridge tolls, you can come over for your lamb without paying. <ok>

Anyway, nice to speak to you again R&W - don't like to poke my nose in on your site these days in case I get banned.......<laugh>

Look pal, Brexit is a serious issue that concerns us all, but if you come on this Leeds forum for a chat, expect to get some flak from the natives.

You have to have a special disposition if you want to survive on here.......<laugh><ok>

I finished work early, popped into the pub and the football chat on our forum is so miserable and predictable that I thought I’d cheer myself up by thinking and talking about Brexit!
    It hasn’t worked - I’m still miserable!

If I were fighting a war, I'd much rather have a 'Tiny' majority of 17million on my side that against me.

If you translate that into percentages it’s 52 v 48.
I wouldn’t want to place a large bet on the outcome of a football match between those 2 sides - Bearing in mind that the 52 have different opinions on what they all want and have been lied to by their coach in order to get them to sign on for their side in the first place!

**** off with your coming on this thread and trying to talk sense.

(I'm just doing this as a gentle introduction for you before the Brexiteers on this thread go in to full on Boris Davis-Mogg mode)

LOL - water off a ducks back mate.
I’m not actually a Eurphile - I don’t actually like the EU much and I share a lot of the concerns of those who voted for Brexit. I thought long and hard before casting my vote. It wasn’t an automatic choice.
It was the complete absence of fact which convinced me that leaving the EU was economically like twisting on pontoon when sat on 18. A MASSIVE risk - but you MIGHT draw a 3 if Boris and Farage are to be believed......
Nothing that has been said or done since the vote has convinced me that Brexit is a good idea. I really hope I’m wrong - if Brexit actually happens of course because for what it’s worth I think once the deal has been rejected by both the EU and Parliament, faced with a’Hard’ Brexit, there will be another referendum and Remain will win.

Just a warning R&W. The first couple of words on the previous post is fairly typical of the response you'll get on this forum.

If you're of a more delicate disposition (like your moderator <laugh>), I'd stick to football because they know **** all about that. <ok>

This topic touches nerves and brings out fire.
Whatever happens with Brexit, almost half the population will be angry to the point of revolution.
It was a f-Ing stupid idea of monumental proportions to hold the vote in the first place and Cameron will always be vilified for arranging it.
I can’t believe I actually voted for him in the GE as my wife delights in reminding me (as she is a leftie!).
God knows how we are going to heal as a nation - ignoring the Irish and Scottish issues - as if we didn’t need another problem.

R&W. I can understand the passion of some, but avoid discussions about both politics and religion basically because I'm a pragmatist who enjoys facts more than speculation - those two subjects have more questions than answers. Too many "what ifs" and biased sectarian mantras for me so I leave both subjects alone.

Nothing wrong with diverse subjects on a football forum (you should see some of the **** I've posted <laugh>), but then again, to each his own. If some have a need to discuss it, so be it. Football is fascinating, but I find replying and re-replying with opinions on a subject with no real answer until it happens brain numbing.

We will only get the answers on both subjects when we are out of the EU for the first, and when we are dead for the second. <ok>
