Well, Marcos, that drew the predictable response. Having the last word is closely associated with ego. Egomaniacs always have to have the last word. It gives them a feeling of power, as if they immediately draw all the power of the person they are communicating with and become powerful due to it. Some people must have the last word because they feel like they have something to prove. They feel they can save face and make themselves right if they have the last word. Having the last word is also a way someone may use to protect their image and self-esteem. No point wasting anymore time on this.
Be careful what you wish for................iot may be that Mr T has trumped the inquiry by having his clever lawyers/accountants and acolytes to doctor his returns. It can be done, just look at the way someone stole his election
Why must you try and make a political point out of everything ? Trump's base is probably only half that size anyway.
I know all that I need to know about US politics in three individuals. In a nation of some 330 million they elevate Clinton, Trump and then Biden for the top job. What does this say, is it more about those three individuals and their abilities or the other @330m and theirs ?
Out of interest, how would you rate: John Major, Teresa May, Tony Blair or Liz Truss ? (all elected to the top job in the UK). Trump is a national embarrassment and left an indelible stain on US political history. I'll grant you that one, but please give your reasons why any British PM, was better than Biden or Clinton (Churchill excepted). I find that many British people deride US presidents, but when pushed they have a hard time justifying what they say.
QED You can't (and no it's not) You can deride US presidents, but can't say why You can deride US presidents but can't say why/if they were worse politicians than British Prime Ministers ie: you are completely unable to back up your assertion, nor give any objective criteria on how those US presidents can be judged or be compared. You have nothing to say except hurling bigoted slander.
That's effing rich coming from Mr political analyst of the us of a and straight away throws in a comment regarding trump, what a
Addressing a comment that you, yourself made; You said: So who is guilty of "straight away" throwing a casual reference to Trump ? People in glass houses....
Well everyone knows you can't resist his name, it seems you are painfully obsessed with the man as being a total embarrassment to the u.s..... presumably the 50% below average intelligence won't agree with you because i presume that they would be the ones who are TRUMP supporters according to you.... anyway enjoy your all american Christmas with your roost
Oh, I very much can. 'No it's not' because you say so or because of the accepted definition ? I don't need to compare them to the leaders of the UK, there's a big difference, we don't vote for those leaders, we vote for the policies that their parties present at a general election. those parties vote for those leaders. Suggest you might need to educate yourself a little better.
And who exactly was the subject of YOUR post#31,420 ? You raised the subject of Trump, then act all horrified that it should be mentioned in any reply to you So save the faux outrage It seems it's you, who has such a hard time resisting citing Trump. Trump was the worst president ever - if he exceeded at anything, it was that he was worse than our worst nightmares. Britain's worst PM x 10 is not a fraction of how bad Trump was and the damage he caused. Trump's base support could be likened to cult membership. But I think an infant Nazi party is a better comparison...and if you think that's an extreme comparison, I do think the warrant comparison. Most Trump supporters tend to be white males with no further education. That's not to say that many high earning professionals don't count themselves as a part of the MAGA crowd. What illuminates the political ignorance, of many in the UK, is the perception the the US Democrat party is somehow "Left Wing". Though Trump himself continues to refer to it as "Commy" [SIC] It is not, and in actual fact, it is somewhat to the right of the British Conservative party - even the Conservative government of Margaret Thatcher. For me it's a no brainer (as they say here); the overwhelming majority of immigrants here support the Democrat party - and for very good reason. My wife is American, but I've persuaded her to serve turkey for Christmas and she even makes Yorkshire pudding.
