    I'll be perfectly honest, I'm not excited about Maiga because I can't find anything on him...Even Mehdi Abeid had more on youtube than the odd 'But De Maiga' video.

    If someone released a video of him showing that he was rapid, or good in the air, or 2 footed, we'd all feel a lot more excited by it.

    (perhaps its just me though)

    I have no idea whether to be concerned or excited over what particular areas of his game...Theres very little I know about him and until Tash pulls his finger out and creates a 'Maiga is a Beast' video, I guess I'll just have to wait and 'till he arrives in January!

    Had an urge to bump this thread.

    This kid not only looks good in the air, has a good finish on him, but can clearly do the spectacular (overhead kicks)....he is Ligue 1's top scorer on 11 with Gameiro his closest rival (another toon target in the summmer) on 8.

    Why in God's name would we sign a dodgy looking un-reliable glorified winger, Strike(r) Maiga....when Giroud looks the real deal?!

    Get him signed up!

    We can get Benny to persuade him and if that fails then we get Cabaye to seduce him, if that fails then we get Tiote to threaten him.

    Either way, i see it as a win win! :D

    A new striker and fullback/centre half cover, both are starters in a team that's top of their league and one of them is the current top goalscorer.

    Gervinho also apparently mentioned us in an interview.

    As did that Bhangura guy that Celtic ended up signing (and his been a major flop so far).

    I wouldnt read too munch into that. Its just press talk and rumours.

    Id love to have this guy, but i cant see it happening. I definitley couldnt see us signing 2 forwards, unless we sold one. If the whole Maiga rumours are true.

    The fact that we need more defenders now may play against it too.
