It would work as I would fit a rectangle inside it … using glass as a roof on the areas not covered by the Q on my logo The hoops bands would rotate and act as a roof … solid and glass The tail of the Q would be admin/clib shop etc Imagine Brighton's ground with Lotfus road inside it Imagine every flight in from Heathrow would see a giant blue Q .. I haven't enough time to draw it in Cinema 4d as off back to back for a month but I will submit it back to the club
Talksport says Sandro and Borini to QPR, the latter to the irritation of the Sunderland fans. Not official yet of course. Sorry, wrong thread. All too frantic!
Thanks for those points (well, some of them), I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow, although we will probably have to wait for the official minutes.
The only thing I don't get from the proposed plans is the logic behind having a small arena next door?? I thought we'd be trying to compete with the O2 to have all sorts of events, Tennis, Concerts, Wrestling, basketball ect. If they want the stadium to pay for itself, it's not going to do that without a roof, otherwise all those events are out the window. If it's to be surrounded by housing, how the hell will we hire it out for anything? Concerts would be a no go and most of the other events need a roof. But who's going to hire a 6k seater arena when there are larger, better options already around London. The architect we have are the ones who built the roof on Centre Court at Wimbledon, if we had something like that, a retractable roof and a nice compact stadium we could take all of the o2's business! As it stands I don't see the logic as a multi purpose site, perfect for us maybe, but not for other events. But I guess it's early days.
Let's hope it actually does go through, I see Boris's plan for an Estuary Airport has been axed so not everything the blonde joker touches comes to fruition. And with him going back into Parliament this whole pipedream might lose it's momentum...
You know the more I think about this the more that I think that this is an absolute genius idea. Making the stadium in the shape of a giant blue Q from above would be an instant icon. The letter Q is unique to us, we are the only team in the Country which starts with it (in fact we even be the only team in the Country to use the letter at all), and we really should be using it more in our identity and branding. The east of London can have The O2, while the west will have The Blue Q! Genius!
