Well... We grew into it. Kept them largely quiet and had a good chance and a good penalty shout.

Away from home against table leaders with no real forward line. I'd take that.

In fact we look more focused than some recent games like they actually know their jobs for once.

What I find frustrating is, yes we going have to defend for large periods in this game, but when we get the ball, why don't we go direct and attack rather than playing keep ball?

Thought it was really comfortable for most of the half with us having the better passing and just a shame Connor wasn't a couple of feet further out when he chipped Raya .
Not sure why Var didn't suggest the ref have a look at the Frimpong incident .

Shock...Neville does not think it's a pen.
It’s okay
Neither does Luv
He played the Wenger card <laugh>

Seriously though Luv not sure how you don’t see that one
Literally the easiest decision I have seen for a pen

Think you maybe allowing you desire to see the back of Slot cloud the vision on that one

Neville is just a dick
You are not <hug>

All things considered, that went a lot better than I expected.
When you have all 10 outfield players in defence

Arsenal are not anything special, the standard of football they are playing is pretty similar to last season. They’ve pretty had all the ball but only created half chances.

The way we we playing you would think we were West Ham going for damage limitation.

It’s the fact we have possession, get over the half way line and then start playing it backwards to the defenders and then back to the keeper. It’s just **** to watch.

How ??
He flicks his foot clearly and it pushes against Frimpongs which causes the turn in the foot so whilst not dirty it was clearly an attempt to flick the ball
He missed - caught the player - looked painful
It’s a pen
All day long
It’s not even a hard one that
Not even adding IMHO it was so stonewall
Seen a better replay now and yeah catches him I just didn't see it in the first replay.

I knew you were a dude lol

I am listening to everyone that normally says those things are pens saying the exact opposite

I go back to the Leeds pen the other week against us which on the night I didn’t think it was but understood why it was given

That one tonight is clear - would bug me if we conceded it but I couldn’t argue against it
The ball is not even there to be won - I hadn’t noticed that so what was he doing flicking his foot out

Everyone is behind the Arsenal this season lol

Frimpong is the only player we have that seems capable of getting behind them for a quick counter.

Unfortunately Slot's tactics have Gakpo playing as a defender and with Wirtz up front we are basically relying on him becoming prime Firmino and dribbling through them.
