Interesting quotes from Slot on Isak.

Saying how without Frimpong and Bradley we don’t have anyone on the outside and instead the wingers like coming inside where as at Newcastle had someone like Murphy to supply from crosses etc.

Does add to the fact that maybe Slot doesn’t see Salah as the best option for Isak so is happy to move him on and go with Frimpong ahead of Bradley to allow 2 players who can stay wide and get crosses in - like we saw with Bradley’s assist for Ekitike.

He could have just tried asking Salah to cross it. Gakpo needs telling as well.

They also both need to use the overlapping runs from fbs; and I don't mean as a divert so they can cut in and shoot!

Surely this is more nonsense from Slot? I'm seeing Bradley told to underlap and Kerkez terrified of going wide and crossing the ball.

From memory doesn't Murphy like playing narrow and hitting shots from around the 18 yard box?

I so wish Klopp had got Kerkez. Cannot help but think we bought a world-class, overlapping fullback just so that Slot could turn him into Djimi Traore.

Salah made a lot of assists from crosses with the outsde of his left boot last season. This season, he's barely attempted it. His shooting, passing and first touch have all been off.

Salah can’t use his right foot

To be fair Kerkez spends half the game running behind Gakpo to then only be ignored for gakpo to cut in and either shoot and get blocked or run into traffic and have to pass wide.

Either way, I don’t think it has anything to do with the full backs. It seems like Slot wants 1 of his wingers to stay wide and beat a man and get early crosses in - that’s what Murphy did for Isak. Was simple but effective, problem is, Newcastle didn’t come up against teams sitting back in a low block as much as we do, so far less space for a winger to run into and pass/cross the ball into middle with the centre backs running backwards rather than being stood in 6 yard box facing the ball

You missed the classic soft chip cross straight into a defenders chest.

Game week 6 in the CL league stage and Liverpool travel to Milan to take on Inter at 8pm on Tuesday 9 December.

Match available on Amazon Prime Video.

I heard that an alien spaceship landed several weeks ago and captured the team, replacing them with clones. While the physical appearances of the clones are undetectable from the real players, the aliens forgot to download the football app. If you are reading this aliens, please return the players, fully fit and back to their individual and collective best in time for this match.

Predicted lineup: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Gakpo

The whole Salah thing may have given Slot more time. If he hadn't said anything Slot may have been sacked but there is no way the club was going to let a player be bigger then the club. Lose tomorrow (which I am expecting) and we are in danger of not even getting to playoff round. There are rumours if Real lose to City Wednesday Alonso could be in trouble.
