I actually think it's maybe where we are behind... I think some teams have realised you can't have 6ft 16st blokes act like box to box midfielders without damage. Other sports get away with it because you switch in and out more often...
This is the most physical, fastest paced league in Europe. And we want big , muscled guys to do that for 70-90 minutes(not stop start) 3 times every ten days.
That style of football requires 10-12 1st team defenders, all ready to go every match.
Slot is worried if he starts he will be injured so not available as cover though the obvious question then is why have him in the squad if you won't use him unless it's for 10 mins when we already have the game won
