funny thing is people are having a go at the forwards we've bought, but it's been the back two who were here last season that have had the biggest drop off.

Konate reverted to type and VvD hasn't commanded the authority he had last season.

Decision to be made about Salah imo. In the big games I don't think we can afford him not to track the FB back. Can't be leaving our RB so exposed.

So either he plays CF or he doesn't start.
 
Something has gone on in terms of fitness.

Everything was there this year.

Full preseason with everyone just about.

No injuries.

From minute 1 of preseason in game 1 we were being run through.

This balance has never been fixed in now 4 months.

We looked disciplined and willing to just play the channels against a side who would let us take it in midweek bit I did expect us to struggle today due to fitness after thst good show.

Its also time to say no salah you dont play against oppostion like this. Hes been destroyed today

Take Salah and Wirrz off and put Chiesa and Isak on. The game is already lost give them some match time
 
One thing i note aboit city is they sre simply not even marking vvd.
