Our team is set up to play against teams who want to play. think the big test will be the forest game as Dyche won’t play football against us.

Szoboszlai was sensational.
Bradley was good.
Gravenberch was excellent doing destroying work amd just held nicely.
Macallister was extremely disciplined.
Wirtz worked really hard. Such a huge level of work
Robertson was done a bit of a favour by real.in the team selection down there bit he did his job.
There were lovely channels to play into and we neve looked like making a mistake in our own half and could get the ball high up.

Conor and Robbo are clearly our best options at FB. Play them, let Kerkez and Frimpong earn their pace

This season's City will play long to Haaland. We've struggled against teams that regularly go long this season.

well since Frimpong is injured it's Connors shirt to lose but still think Frimpong is half for cover Salah

We didnt pass it about pointlessly between two cbs here. It was one, two get it down there into the wide men and keep the ball in their half. We could do the business as we had the runners to go take those balls.
But let's face it, bradley ate vini jnr alive and robbo had nothing coming down on him so we were not stretched.
Massive error by alonso there. He had wingers to play onto robbo and didnt until late.
How many of those saves were right at courtois. Even that late gakpo one was a bit of a poor hit where another striker would toe poke it down to finish.
Just disapponted nobody got a kick at benedict Arnold.

You know i'm right. We didnt mess with it or try pass through the middle and lose it tonight. We pinged.it cross field or down the line and took the ball in well and kept us up the park.
We closed up the gaps and real really didnt go down their right hardly at all so that was a tactical error. Of course it was.
We worked really hard there wirtz and szoboszlai were doing the work further up and gravenebrch and macallister really held their positions and never put a foot wrong.
Did Vini get past Bradley once even? I don't think he did, and Bradley was MotM for me.

Agreed. Pointless imo, he's moved on and so have we, just get on with it

2 pot 1 games aren’t over btw. Think inter is the other pot 1 game still to play. Atletico were pot 2 if that’s what you thought were 1, you play 1 at home and 1 away so stil have the away 1 to come.

First half he gave away one foul when bundled into him, otherwise was pretty much faultless. Even in 2nd half when he went past him to create half a yard of space, got back to tackle and give away the corner instead. Was brilliant today, he’s always at his best when he’s intense defending and seems to step it up against the best. Just needs to be consistent now, think he offered less going forward but meant was more solid back 4 which worked well.
Just have to find that balance now
