What's the general feeling around Still so far? Obviously early days yet.

In true modern football fashion there are some already calling for his head after just 6 league games!

Most I would say think it's far too early but are bit concerned at the lack of any decent performances so far and that we're not seeing any of the flexibility we were told was one of his strengths.

As you say very early days but we've got some tough fixtures coming up so pressure will only build if we don't start to put better performances in.

Only thing seen of him was when was part of Monday night football last season I think where he did a section on how he set up his teams and stuff and seemed pretty engaging and switched on - talking about short bits of data for players so didn’t get bored and how tactically switches things up based on opponents rather than being fixed in certain way which I’m sure those that wanted Martin gone would be happy about.

Seems to come with decent reputation but as say may need time to adapt, but as one of favs to go back up, is he going to get that time?

Yeah the tactically switching things up is indeed one of the things fans were pleased about.

No evidence of it so far though, basically every game we've tried to get it wide and get crosses in and I've not really seen any other tactic.

He'll get time I think if performances start to improve imo, even if that doesn't necessarily lead to results yet. But we're a very broken fanbase after last season and it performances don't improve the pressure will only increase.

I'm not too worried about what he says on MNF, Martin came across well on that too and he's a complete ****ing fraud of a manager. All about what happens on the pitch.

I think he has the size as well as the skill to be VVD mark 2. Bear in mind he is very young but looks class. Time will tell.

Who knows.

We will give him the chance hopefully.

I see a lot of what I'd call recovery challenges so I'll be watching to see if positionally he knows the score or is he scrambling back in and making challenges.

Hopefully the platform he gets here is going to improve him

Confimed:

Mamardashvili, Gomez, Endo, Isak, Chiesa, Leoni, Jones, Robertson, Frimpong, Nyoni, Ngumoha.

Subs: Woodman, Kerkez, Bradley, Ekitike, Williams, Gordon, Morrison, Pilling, Danns

Team as expected.

Strong team - with couple kids thrown in for good measure.

Couple strong players on the bench in case but otherwise few kids. Hopefully Danns can get on for Isak at some point

Always look forward to these games and see how they get on
