I haven’t said VAR is ****e, I’ve said the way it’s being used by our hopeless officials lead by Riley is ****e.

Yes like I said, not just Niasse. As usual a punishment is handed out to 'make a statement'. What that statement is, or was, is anybody's guess.

 

If you have rules they should be applied universally and consistently. This one hasn’t been.

It’s truly incredible how he’s managed to get the implementation of this quite so wrong. It was used effectively in the WC and is being used in most major leagues now, but here it’s an absolute shambles.

 

It is Mike Riley we're talking about. Him getting it right would have been even more incredible.

 

I totally agree and been saying it for a while now
VAR is not that bad - it’s not even our officials cause the English ref unit in the CL managed to use VAR to good effect so it is clearly our (Riley’s) interpretation of it.
