Yes to the Wedds, not got any Sonic Youth though. Never have, one of those band I never actually bought, although did listen to of course.
You mentioned the Sub Pop label before on here, it was a good scene with Dinosaur Jr, Pavement and those US indie grunge bands, I think Mudhoney were on their label too Prince was a genius, as you know.
Oh yes man, the world is a lesser place without that man in it. Unbelievably brilliant musician and writer. I actually miss him! Bowie too, the work they did.
Was at the Swans game Friday night and I went for a piss and Jesus Jones were playing, randomly and weirdly. And I fondly remembered how I was at a post gig EMF party in NYC in 1990 with them!
Do you remember Neds Atomic Dustbin, they used to tour the London Student unions, so I saw them play loads as their gigs were cheap and cheap student beer prices. They used to tour with Sheep on Drugs too.
No, Leeds! I'd never head of them either but when I first came down here first bunch of lads I met and knocked about with were into all that type of music. Different to what I was used to but good all the same. That's how I heard Cud.
Carter are from my neck of the woods, near New Cross. They used to play the Venue there all the time.
Saw them and Neds at Glasto. Might even have been the same one! Can't remember that accurately tbf. Think Carter USM were 1989, I do remember them being very good.
