Think he's more of an in behind the striker or can play on the wing

I remember watching him for Sweden a few years back thinking he was a good player IIRC he took set pieces for them. Haven't heard/seen him play since.

Appearances and goal stats below. Good record for PSV 1 goal in every 2.27 games is pretty handy.

2003–2005
Degerfors IF 41 (8)
2006 Örgryte IS 25 (6)
2007–2009 Malmö FF 51 (17)
2009–2014 PSV 139 (61)
2014– Rennes 46 (14)
National team‡
2003
Sweden U17 2 (0)
2004–2005 Sweden U19 11 (6)
2006–2009 Sweden U21 28 (13)
2007– Sweden 43 (9)

Not sure how true this is or how up to date it is but taken from Wiki.

2013–14 season
Although both PSV and Toivonen were dissatisfied after a transfer had failed, Toivonen made 14 appearances in which he scored once. In the winter break PSV announced that Toivonen would not play a single match for PSV in the second half of the season. Both the player and the club wanted to disband.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu could be on the verge of a move to Sunderland, according to reports.
The 21-year-old, who only joined Leverkusen from Hamburg for £10m last summer, scored 11 goals in 46 appearances last season.
His Bundesliga form has attracted the attention of Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat, who is ready to launch a bid for the Turkish international, reports The Metro.
Calhanoglu, who has developed a reputation as a talented set-piece taker, has scored five goals in nine games for his country

Yeah apparently Real Madrid where after him so no chance his free kicks are unreal.

Dick knows him well and he played with Lens in a front three in what was a very dangerous frontline. He'll bring others into play and help encourage goals from all our attacking players.

Who was the spearhead if you don't mind my asking?
