Probably without the pens TD9 would be rougly 1 goal in 5. (I made that up mind) Just want TD9 back to form. Dunno if that'll happen mind. I guess he is post op so things might pick up after the suspention.
honestly, i think we've seen the best of him but would love him to prove me wrong. I think your 1 in 5 may be generous
When Deeney he come off the bench recently he has seemed to be very effective in terms of defending from the front, breaking up the opposition play and creating chances for us to win possession and attack. Maybe he is best as a super-sub?
I think striker is now the one are we really need to strengthen and could hold us back from being in that 7-10th bracket. We really need that 15-goals a season man, which I don't think Deeney, Gray or Okaka will ever be There does seem a tide turning against Deeney - not wanting to get rid, but in general, that he can be easily improved on. I do think he should play that sub role now... if we need someone up front to put themselves about a bit. Also think he and Gray could be effective in a front 2. As for Okaka - I hope he does make the bench over the next few games. Gray will start but it will be nice to have that option from the bench - and hope he takes the chance if he gets it, rather than sulk
Okaka looks like he could be playing on his own on the pitch and still manage to miss the goal or trip over the ball. He's too slow and clumsy to lead the line on his own. Not a bad backup player but we definitely need a new striker in January if we're going to play with the same formation, or as Kev said I think Deeney+Gray as a strikeforce would be more effective if we play 2 up front. I'm sure the Pozzos have someone up their sleeve
http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....ka-s-absence/story-30539291-detail/story.html Seems Okaka has fallen out of favour....
Sounds like there has been some kind of incident - a friend did suggest there was a row after the Bournemouth game. Seems Okaka was being agricultural with his side of the story in comments to the WO. And maybe more worrying a little dig at the club again saying things could have been handled better
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ch_points_finger_at_Okaka_over_squad_absence/ SILVA SAYS: "The situation with Okaka, he knows why he hasn’t played until now. Everyone in the club knows what has happened. Maybe in that moment, we have solved it in a different way, but that is a different way and he has been training with us every day. He knows why in some moments he didn’t stay in the squad, and everyone in the club knows that too." Clear as mud then...
Has the relationship thawed now? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp..._gave_us_more_heart__says_head_coach/?ref=rss
Okaka to go off out on loan - https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4921276/watford-transfer-news-stefano-okaka/
Title says "Watford ace" then the first line says "Watford flop" If he does go, hopefully we have lined up someone to replace him. Actually wouldn't mind us looking at some like Ings on loan if Liverpool are willing to let him go out... Then look for a replacement in the summer
