  1. You want to see Carroll play more because of his price tag...? <doh> I don't think the price tag matters, it is the about how the individuals are performing. Does Carroll deserve to start every game? I don't think he does but nor does he deserved to sit out every game either. However, he is a confidence player and needs to play for us to see the best of him. Chicken or Egg...?

What really bugs me is how much stick Henderson is getting, especially after already experiencing similar situation with Dirk Kuyt and Lucas Leiva. They both got stil for not being good enough but both stuck at it, worked hard and earned the fans approval. IMO, Henderson is exactly the same. If he wasn't trying he would get criticised by me but he buts 100% in in every game which is something Liverpool fans are known for appreciating!

As for the rest of your post, I more or less agree with. With number one, I would adjust it to 'buy the best available' rather than changing from British to non-British. Suarez definitely needs to work on his shooting (and his left foot). We certainly need a couple of quality signings to improve both the first team and squad too.

    Agree with 1,2,3,,6,7

    Notes:
I didn't realsie we had an "all british policy". If we had, it did not work...agreed.

I cannot see why we ought to play Carroll more. He is inconsistent but he is far far from the Newcastle player we thought we had.

Suarez creates the chances. If we had a bloody decent striker, we would not be 7th.

  3. Nobody said that wasn't the case. The point was that Suarez's finishing is poor so he needs to work on his shooting. No matter if we had score 500 goals this season, if Suarez had still only score ten league goals from the chances he's had, I would say he needs to practice his finishing!

Enrique, Adam, Bellamy, Doni, Suarez, Coates, Carroll, Downing, Henderson are our signings so far under Dalglish.

That's 5 out of 9 of our signings that are actually British. Just over 50% of them, which isn't anywhere near being an "all British policy".

Yes, obviously our top assister is dogshit and only good enough for the championship. The fact he has set up more goals than anyone else in our team points to him definitely not being good enough for us. If people started engaging their brain they'd understand that Adam was supposed to be a squad player, but has only played so much because Gerrard was out at the start of the season and Lucas is now out.

Look at other (top) clubs back up midfielders: Chelsea - Mikel & Romeu, Man Utd - Anderson & Scholes, Arsenal - Frimpong & Ramsey. I would personally take Adam over everyone of these bar Ramsey, and he's outperformed every single person on that list in terms of assists this season.

He was one of our best performers against Everton in the derby after a shaky start, and then didn't start against Stoke or QPR. So I don't see how your point makes sense at all, he's not started the last two games so he has effectively been benched, and he was very good in his last start. Another nonsensical point by you.

Agree that Carroll should start more, but not because of his price tag, just because he has shown improvement in his last couple of starts and him and Suarez looked like they were developing some sort of understanding.

Yes dear, that's how simple football is.

Our penalties are actually fine, its just we have had no continuity in that department with Gerrard being injured and the likes of Adam, Suarez, Carroll and Kuyt fighting each other for the ball when we get a penalty.

Yes, because all it takes to complete a succesful transfer is someone going "Hey, this guy looks quality, lets buy him". Things don't work out like that, Morientes looked class for Monaco in the CL before signing for us yet he was pretty poor when he came here and was a flop when looking at his time at Liverpool as a whole.

Great. One out of his 30 hollywood passes works out. The other 19 go straight back to the opposition. Then you have to look at the fouls he concedes in dangerous areas consistantly because of his inability to tackle, how bad his defensive positioning is which puts more pressure on the other midfielders/defense, how he thinks he's messi at times and goes on these silly runs only to end up losing the ball or skying it over the crossbar when a simple pass was on, or in fact, how generally how he never looks for the simple pass, always the most elaborate, headline option.

I rate Adam, I think there's a quality player in there somewhere. Fact is though, his assist record for the year disguise what has been a very average or substandard set of performances. Maybe next year he'll step it up because, like I said, there is quality in there. Just zero consistancy. If he finds that, he'd be good in a more advanced role.

Being the top assister isn't a bad record for a guy playing in a team with strikers who couldn't hit a barn door from 6 yards out. You've also got to consider that he made his name at Blackpool in a 3 man midfield, where he had plenty of people helping him out defensively, his blanket has been taken away from him, its obviously going to take some time for him to get used to that, and it doesn't help that we've also lost Lucas so he's being asked to play a defensie mid role which he's never played before in his life.

As for the fouling thing, how many silly free kicks and yellow cards did Lucas get last season? Think he was one of the most persistent foulers in the league and had amongst the most yellow cards. Did you also criticise his positioning and poor tackling? The fact is, tracking back and tackling isn't something Adam is very good at, just like Gerrard who isn't THAT good at playing as a defensive mid. He's just being asked to play there because of our injuries. He was actually becoming a very good player when he played alongside Lucas and until that injury he was showing signs of really developing a partnership with Lucas.

I have to agree with him sometimes being frustrating in possession, but at least he's trying something to be fair, remember the Lucas-Mascherano partnership in which the ball moved sideways about 5 yards between each other for ages and they made no effort whatsoever to inject some pace into the game and try to find the attacking players in advanced areas. We ended up with Kuyt, Gerrard and Riera/Babel/Benayoun dropping deep to pick the ball off their toes and Torres being isolated and frustrated upfront with no red shirt within 30 yards of him.

For me he's not been that good since Lucas got injured, thought he was good before that. What I'm angry about is people actively celebrating his injury and hoping he's injured for a long time. Disgraceful behaviour IMO and they can **** off to Real Madrid/Man Utd/Man City/Barca for all I care. And to call him a shower of **** is a gross exaggeration of him being average since Lucas was injured.

Lucas got better as the season progressed, Adam still does the same clumsy challenges whenever he plays. I assume it's because he's too slow reacting or getting into position meaning he only has the option of fouling to stop them getting through. This is mostly why I believe he'd be better in a role where he can drift about as he likes - pretty much what Lucas enabled him to do. However, it's still an area which he should have improved upon by now surely.
Then we have his setpieces, supposedly the best part of his game, which have been alarmingly bad. I'm not exaggerating when I say that my setpieces are better atm and if that makes me a 10million pound man, I'd be happy. Pressure on him? Who knows. He's not delivering what he's capable of.

Like I said, Adam has quality in there, some of his passes this year have been sublime. He just hasn't showed anywhere near enough consistancy to warrant a starting place and certainly one wonder ball out of 30/40 attempts isn't good enough. His assist tally really oversell how useful he has been this year, especially as one of the main setpiece takers and possibly THE main setpiece taker until Gerrard was back - particularly when we see upwards of 15corners a game...one of those has to connect, right?

I agree with you on people celebrating his injury. That's just poor show. He should be dropped to the bench until he bucks up his game, but celebrating injury isn't right.

Well, evidently Lucaas you know it all and I know **** all.

We should all bow to your superior knowledge.

You're in the minority who thinks Adam is all that, but that's all right, you keep convincing yourself and one day, if we're lucky, our dreams will come true that he actually does something useful in a game.

You've just shot yourself in the foot by admitting he was OK before Lucas got injured, not so good after, but hey I'm not splitting hairs.

On the back of the Fabrice Muamba drama to wish a player injured isn't on. I told a few people off about that on Twitter.

Enjoy the rest of the season.
