Spanish, if you read my post I actually said it was a stupid thing to say so I dont know how that can be seen as defending him. (another one who cant be bothered to read about but guesses the answer) Guru - no thats why I said it was a daft thing to say. If this comment was said at the time of the ME takeover then I think it would be an excellent thing to have said. It would have made it sound like ME had his feet on the ground and would be gradually improving but as it was said after many years of 'operation premiership' bollocks it can be seen as nothing other than a backward step or one of a lack of confidence. Neither are good for the cause.
