But you are making assumptions based on nothing but your manager has never done anything like this before. Your Captain had a habit of getting involved all day long yesterday. He ran far enough to shove McHugh on the pitch when it had nothing to do with him being 40 yards away from the tackle. A fair tackle by the way where McHugh won the ball. Your Captain who was clearly trying to get our player sent off. You aren't giving any perspective you are defending your man through thick and thin regardless. Where does this comment about wife or mother come from? There simply is no evidence whatsoever to vindicate your man. Stop digging Ron and drink your pint and I'll get you a refill and a shot
I've now watched the limited highlights several times and I can't see anything wrong with our goal as for the rest of the game maybe we did waste time but that was not shown on the highlights the handbags in the middle was just that and I'm sure nobody is happy to be called a bunch of 'fracking' cheats but Ainsworth should have been the better man shook hands and just said thanks for the 3 points
When it was put to Ainsworth that Adams had claimed he had refused to shake his hand at full-time, he replied: "I'm not going to comment on that. Both managers must show respect for each other. It's a big thing for me. You have to be respectful to each other but, like I say, I'm not going to comment on that." The implication being Adams was disrespectful towards him and/or his team. Hey Guy. Are we really as bad as Stevenage?
On the highlights you have the rear end view. I sit right opposite the 18 yard line on the other side with an absolute clear view of what happened. If I could transmit the images to screen you would know exactly where the no goal claim comes from. Sadly the lino had the same view as me but from pitchside height. He was more intent on making signals to the crowd behind his back than watching the game. I kid you not on that one. For most of the game he was nowhere near up with play but this was a corner where he was static and right in line. Your players might as well have chained MacCormick to the post and stood on him. It was that blatant. As for the Ainsworth comments well what can you say. He's just making excuses for his behaviour and trying to blame others for his poor response. It isn't sour grapes mowgli honestly it isn't. The reason we didn't win was partly down to our own incompetance infront of goal. We missed several sitters and had we not then you wouldn't be on cloud nine now. However, it still wouldn't hide the fact of how poor your team was and the cheating that went on all game. It was truely embarrassing and if you have to watch that regularly then I do feel sorry for you because it wasn't football.
Did'nt see the game so no comment but you wonder if the pressure is getting to the Plymouth manager having been top only won twice at home since October. You see the opposing goalkeeper carried off with 75 mins to play & a 46 year old who has'nt played a league game for 10 years come on. He would'nt be human if he did'nt think our lucks changed here.
Once again there is the assumption that Adams caused the problems. Somebody please show me the evidence. The evidence against Ainsworth is on the clip and you can all see that and cannot dispute it. Try taking your dodgy specs off. You are right to some extent philhythe we do seem to go off at home. Maybe the pressure does get to them and we certainly did ourselves no favours with the soft missed opportunities. We do have ourselves to blame to some extent. I'm not disputing that. Ron, the chains were bigger than that. I have heard there was a break-in at the Dockyard down the road at about 2.15pm yesterday. Think there might have been an anchor involved somewhere as well ut that could be exageration. Maybe Adams asked for it back and Ainswroth's scrap metal brother was upset.
No reason for Adams to feel pressure at all. Our away form is better than home but the fans are 100% behind him. Since October, we've had a string of injuries to key players, including our 1 and only goal keeper, our top scorer for the last 2 seasons and our top midfielder (Graham Carey) who was League 2 Player of the Month before he got crocked. Despite this, we've stayed in the top 3 throughout. Only for the most recent 2 games have we had a full squad available and Carey got his first significant gametime against Wycombe. Anything can happen, but there's no reason why we can't now resume our form of the autumn and run away with this division. So don't assume this fuss is all because we're panicking about losing a home game. Your team's performance on Saturday was a disgrace. Whether you're like it all the time, I don't know, I don't recall anything other than the normal stuff in the play-off game at Home Park but this was a real shocker. As a single instance of what went on.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35459311
I was going to close this thread but you lads have vented some obviously very strong feelings in a well controlled manner, unlike some of the foul mouthed fans on twitter and FB. I recall some of our fans having similar strong feelings about Stevenage so I guess we have some empathy with your fans re Saturday. Personally, I think your manager is a nasty, devious piece of work but that's all I'll say until the whole truth comes out. If I'm wrong I'll apologise
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35459311 We best lay down and get our belly rubbed or else there will be more trouble
He means respect for the game as a whole. This was woefully absent from Wycombe's performance, if it can be called that, on Saturday.
That's amazing Ron. That must have been the combined 5 minutes in the 120 all of your players managed to stand up at once. What you can't see in any of them there pictures is Ainsworth screaming at them to lie down. He almost exploded as I recall.
