In all honesty I can see quite a change in squad next season. I think Pennant, Upson, Jones, Fuller and maybe a couple more will be on there way regardless! In addition, we will probably get an offer on 1 or 2 and if there is a little bit of discontent come the end of the season they may go!
I think this is where TP van either break or make or club for the next few seasons! he has to get the balance right for incoming and outgoing players and he has got to get a happy medium of playing positive football and using the players strengths - if he does that I think the players will be more productive and there will be less fall outs! Harmony is one of the biggest issues in a team game and honestly dont think TP has quite grasped the concept.

Don't if you or any of the other Stoke fans saw the article about Palacios in the Sentinel last week?
Pulis has set out a special fitness prob just for Wilson P.. so, I assume he will be fit and ready to go next season.
I agree, we need a clearout and my main concern always has been is the midfield.
This will show us IF T.P. has his x year plan coming to fruition next season. IF ONLY we could keep the ball better Smither's? For me it's basic skills even v the top teams. So, I was talking football to my missus last night yes my WIFE who knows enough just about anyway and seen enough of live Stoke games this seaaon to give an oppinion.
She's said" if those in between Crouch and Jerome can keep the ball wouldn't we have more goes at goal"
NOT bad as she's only seen Stoke play six home games this season. She also thinks Tommy S is simply the best thing since sliced bread.. makes me wonder if she does actually take in what is going on, during the game. Of course she does and without any promting from me also said. " I don't think half the team are good enough to play every week"
I was speechless and rolled around laughing... does she actually have a point lads? I kid you not she will be there on Sat v Wolves and I asked her for he own line up given she knows all but a few player's off the cuff.. here it is.

I don't think Jones will go, mainly because he hasn't been playing, and probably won't have much value. Given the money we've spent on him, Crouch and Palacios, I don't think Coates would be willing to let him go cheaply.
I'd say Fuller's time is pretty much up, and that could be a reason he's getting in the team, to put him in the shop window. I hope we don't get rid of Upson, he's been solid everytime he played, but one either him or Woody will go I think.
I also hope Pennant doesn't go, but it's not looking likely that he'll stay. I think Pulis does understand that we need harmony in the squad, over the years it's been reported he's had problems with Fuller going out on the piss, turning up late/ not at all to training, yet still got in the team and didn't seem to be much of a distraction to the squad, but Pennant does it and it's a different story. This says to me, that Ric accepts his fines and punishment, gets his head down and cracks on, and Pennant doesn't. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how it looks to me.
As for Heskey, he's played a few games recently on the left wing for Villa, we could do with some cover down that side
