* With their fixtures... I´d be. * They´ve got to have some thing to clutch at. * F*** that. The LRI will be full by 17.00.
Think I may need a health check, but it seems to me that the 2 key players for the remainder of the season are Nugent and Vardy. They have bought into the Pearson philosophy for a couple of seasons, and whilst may not have the silky skills required in the Prem, do have the work ethic and never say die attitude. Together, with the belief and class of Cambiasso we have given ourselves a real chance of survival. I do struggle with the money we have spent on strikers and leave them on the bench and dont even bring them on, but this is a FIGHT against relegation and we know that Nuge and Vardy will give their all for the cause. Their effectiveness will be key.
Changes from week to week one win you feel like your staying up (not felt that feeling for a while now ) one loss and your going down , the joys of being a football fan
Although im ecstatically happy right now, i cant seem to shake these points out of my head As Leicester fans, we have seen the club take everything to the line and fail the last few years. Relegated to League 1 on the last day of the season in 2008 Losing to Cardiff in the play-off semi final on penalties in 2010 Losing to Watford in the play-off semi final in the final seconds in 2013 I really really really hope that it is time for us to survive and get over the line, rather than just reaching the line and failing. It would be an exceptional feat by the players if we did it and "momentum" (for however much that is worth) is currently in our favour, im still going to stick with us getting relegated after the Hull result, which now seems it might be the most important result in Hulls favour.
Don't forget though we did qualifying for the play-offs on the last day of the season in 2013, albeit we did play in the play-offs after that, it was still a last-day-of-the-season all or nothing match that ended in our favour. This does feel different to other top flight survival fights in the recent past. Normally we're terrible, and gone with ages to go. This time, we have a real chance, and we're playing better than our rivals. It's much more promising.
Difficult to criticise the second leg of the Cardiff play-offs to be fair. Still one of the best performances under Pearson IMO.
Oh i totally agree, its just we've been pipped at the post probably more often than other sides. Credit to our players for showing the passion for not going out with a wimper on any of these occations though.
