Oh ****ing dear me.... - My thoughts on the City game

If we lose/ fail to win the next two games then we are in serious trouble.

 

The insistence on playing coloccini seems to have been presenting huge problems for the toon for what seems like years !

 

We will lose

 

I think we need some confidence. I think we should organise them a game against the Sunderland U11 Blind School or a few traffic cones.

 

I think we should buy some defenders. It will improve our terrible defence. I know I know, I'm a genius.

 

No chance we would win that

 

I know its early but i fear that fat lady has long finished her warbling. She has also had time to stuff her fat face with 3 family buckets of KFC and is probably bouncing up and down on some poor unfortunate fan`s face. He is currently the only fan having a worse time than us!!

 

I'll reserve judgement until we've played half a season.
New players, new coaching staff and half our games so far have been against the teams you'd arguably expect to finish top 4.
Southampton are one of the best run clubs in the league.
Of the remaining 11 games to mid season we've got to play Spurs, Everton and Liverpool. Beyond that every game is winnable.
If we haven't got near 20 ponta at midway I'd be surprised

Wow, a whole 20 points by the middle of the season? Lucky us. Just need to replcate that astounding feat to guarantee that golden 17th spot, then we can "look forward" to next season.

It's a start though. To change a management team, coaching staff, squad, system and playing style isn't an overnight process. The majority of people wanted a change from how Pardew did things. They have that now but the cost of that is that it will take time for transition and the first season will always be about surviving and laying the foundations. This is what people spent the last few years crying out for so they at least need to give it time to work.

 

I agree and to sack steve after the toughest start ive ever seen in my life would be very unfair.

Its going to improve we just have to support the manager and the players.

Pointless sacking when the real problem is the players plus Charnley and Carr.
I'd drop Sissoko and Coloccini. I'd also fine the pair of them a months wages and publically blame them for results. I'd go in front of the Sky cameras and re-iterate that Sissoko isn't leaving, isn't playing for us and can rot in the reserves for the remainder of his contract. I'd also wish him luck for the Euro's next summer. That's why I could never be a football manager.

 

The next 6 matches are Norwich, Sunderland, Stoke, Bournemouth, Leicester and Crystal Palace, I can't see more than 6 points out of that lot and even then there needs to be a massive change in attitude and work rate, the only way games are going to be winnable is if the team play at the rate and intensity that they managed in the first half at Man City for the full match and every match.

 

McClaren should be saying to him if you want out and want the big club move then prove you're worth it on the pitch, you got 2 matches to start showing or as you say he should dump him in the reserves.
