Imagine how many 'PrayFor...' posts there have been since say 9/11. Firstly, it doesn't work, evidently. Secondly, who are you praying to exactly? Because from where I'm sat, by your religious logic, you're praying to the guy who made it all happen in the first place. Let's stop praying for people, that's a good place to start. Praying to something that doesn't exist is an evolution of the biggest lie ever created by mankind. We are faced with conspiracy theories every single day, Armstrong didn't walk on the moon, Holocaust never happened, 9/11 was an inside job, and all of these are dismissed as completely irrational ****e every time somebody discusses it, by the masses. Yet here we are, in the 21st century, humans have developed fighter jets that can travel 4,500mph and cars that can drive themselves, we are on the verge of developing new medicine that can cure some of the biggest killers in history of the human race, we can send mountains of information from one side of the world to the other in less than one second, yet we still acknowledge the suggestion that we are governed by a ****ing higher, all seeing, all controlling monster in the clouds. What is happening right now is all part of natural selection, the world will still be here long after the idea of god has died.
The Church in the West haven't given a **** about the Christians in the East being exterminated. They insult their memory even further by giving their churches to house 'refugees'. Crosses also being removed because it won't cause offence. These people are suppose to protect their flocks, not invite wolves into the fields.
So when some Brits were first identified fighting for IS in Syria and Iraq, it was suggested in the press that we should cancel their passports and revoke their british citizenship. This was followed by much hand-wringing and wailing from politicians and pressure groups about their human rights. So whats happening in France today and tomorrow? They're changing their constitution to revoke french nationality from anyone with dual nationality. No crying or wailing from politicians! Just acting with common sense and a ****-you attitude to human rights activists. Our spineless leaders might like to take note!
Of course he does mate, I loath anything to do with religion. Living in a democracy doesn't give us the right to preach hate and be offensive though, which is what Billy done (me also in the past)
Not at all mate. That's BIlly's vice at times. It pisses me off when visitors try and make him our responsibility though. Billy is his own man. If folk have a problem they should take it up with him instead of lambasting the entire board. These people are no better in my opinion.
I've got mates in all walks of life. For example I've got White South African friends who hate blacks, I hate that they hate blacks and they hate me love of black music. But there's more to them than racism and I understand their views are molded on upbringing. I would not stand there and have somebody call me a racist because they're my friends. I'm not a racist. But I'm not going to get offended on others behalf. My friends know my stance and I know theirs and that's the end of it. I don't spend much time with them these days as they've joined the Polish neo-nazi groups in town. That's too much for me so I've taken a big step back from them. Billy's prejudice lets himself down, not us, and I won't have us put in the same category. Nor will turn my back on him. If people have a problem with him they should man up and see him about it.
Hey @Spurlock, still think people drinking alcohol are comparable with terrorists and do you still think British women are sluts?
I'm not traipsing right through this again but when the **** was I offensive? Something is only offensive if you're offended by it, some are thicker skinned than others. Some folk feel the need to be offended when they're not really offended at all. They just need something to whinge about. They're the ones I feel really sorry for. Offended on behalf of others who probably aren't even offended at all. I say it as I see it & I wont change. Anybody doesn't like that can suck my plums. I don't give a single **** whether I'm liked or not, I'm not here to be popular. Too many people bury their heads in the sand & ignore the truth. The three wise monkeys come to mind, let's pretend none of this is going on & we live in a Utopia. If I'm pissing people off then I'll go for the good of the board but I'll never toe the PC brigade party line.
Don't think anyone's had a go at you chief. I think you're generally accepted, by most, and tolerated, by others, for what you are.
You're not going anywhere, you're a ****er but you're our ****er and we like you just the way you are.
No one's asking or expecting you to change Billy. One of the biggest issues in Europe that everyone's so pissed off about is that our democracies give us the freedom of speech. That includes the freedom to say things that others may find offensive. We seemed to have forgotten this in this country in the last 20-30 years, especially by our Political Correctness commissars! You say want you want Billy. You might occasionally get your knuckles rapped by the Mods - they're just there to make sure everyone keeps within the legal framework of the website. But you have every right to your opinion and you're smart enough to know when you're pushing the envelope. I just keep away from some of the stuff on here these days. And I've grown a thicker skin If you bugger off who's gonna post a PIES thread?
We're talking about you not to you Don't think you're pissing anybody off mate. Apart from the odd visiting clown who'd rather mouth off to the entire board then have the ball to say it to you. You just be yourself mate. Not that you need my aproval, I know you'll be yourself no matter what. True to yourself mate.
