That's just a pure punt in the dark. They're Anomynous! You've no idea on their level of funding, who's funding them and the extend they can fund the organisation.

The issue with that mate, as good as it sounds, is that they probably wouldn't get access to anything relevant. Information isn't stored on internet-based applications or programs at that level, it's just too risky to centrally house top secret info on the web even under secure-as-**** framework. They could probably get a few personnel, some of their emails and texts and so on but nothing fruity.

With ISIS, they could expose a network of people who know them, by releasing 2nd or 3rd level sim data, which could be fun, or it could make all the **** hit all the fans.

Depends on their funding to what they can do. You can hijack off line networks if you've got the resources. Guess we're going see to what they can do in time, could be next to nowt, could be the weapon we've needed.

See them all the time here mate, they go out with head scarves on probably cos they can't be arsed to do their hair. Some of them look the part, others look completely butters, but it's definitely nowhere near as offensive as a ****ing burkah.

To be fair, He can still keep his anonymity but share financial info. We don't know who he is, but we know he's skint. <laugh>

    It's definitely not the latter.

They'd have done something huge after the Charlie Hebdo attacks, but they never, they just took down some sites after they said they'd wreak havoc.

They don't need 3rd party funding behind them, they're hackers, they could empty millions into their own accounts if they wanted to.

I think they'll do some good stuff, it'll possibly be useful, probably not though, because they have to keep it secret, work with intel agencies and empty data out on them that they extract, these guys have a habit of publicly outing people and there goes your advantage. Contrary to what you've just said actually, if they're gonna do something worthwhile, although it's a long shot, we'll probably never hear about it.

Nobody has mentioned yet that this could lead to planned terrorist attacks being brought forward, if they think information is going to be potentially uncovered. Next couple of months could be interesting...

We bang on and on about religion and certain clothing meaning a lot to a person of a certain religion. Behind all the bullshit, what you have just said is probably the truth of it all <laugh>

According to an 'in depth' foreignpolicy.com investigation they've done quite a bit. 'Some sites' is hundreds and the ISIS Twitter accounts exposed run into the hundreds of thousands.

Like I said, all will be revealed in time. But even being a nuisance would be helpful imo.

Yeah, of course it would, stopping recruitment drives and so on. All that dark web ****, it's way over my head, I've never had a look on it and don't intend to, but I'm sure that's their theatre, where they can do battle with filth from all walks of life.

I'm not so sure how much there is to this new anonymous video as it wasn't posted on their official account and they were already supposed to be at war with ISIS after January. They've definitely had an impact though to some extent. I think I read that over 10,000 twitter accounts have been shut down due to being exposed and about 150 websites. The same article also said that the authorities were concerned that this would isolate possible recruits though since he only people they'd be left in touch with would be those trying to brainwash them. It also said something about some of these accounts being quite useful as amateur chatter sometimes revealed things that wouldn't be exposed otherwise. Not sure how much I believe that the security forces would be making any sort of statement about what helped them though.

You can't unless someone opens the doors for you. You're not a hacker/nonce/terroist/rapist/snuffy/animal ****er so you're never likely to get an invite into that world just like most of us. Good I say. It's just normal websites invisible to all search engines which often need encryption or software to access. You need somebody to give you a direct link for a start. Thankfully it's not something kids can accidentally stumble onto while surfing.

Tighter EU border controls: Mr Hollande warned: "If Europe doesn't control its external borders, then it is the return of national borders... This would mean the dismantling of the European Union."

New deportation powers: Mr Hollande called for a change to France's constitution to make it easier to expel people deemed to pose a threat to national security

Hurrah!!!! Finally! More of this sort of talk across the whole of Europe please!!!!
