Probably just seeing if it was his sort of book mate, no point taking it if you're not gonna get into the book
That's exactly what he was doing. As Saw him come across it as I walked passed. He picked it up, looked at the cover, crouched down and started reading
Of course mate, they'll be hitting genuine targets but the intel's coming from all different sources, there's nobody in charge of the operation so effectively they're carpet bombing entire cities such as Raqqa, the military equivalent of Cillit BANG, just get rid of 99.9% of everything and hope that you get 'em. The fact is, we need boots on the ground in order to take hostages and interrogate the **** out of them. We need information from inside the ranks of ISIS to fish out the core of their establishment and that's not happening right now.
That's what I'd do to be fair (in his shoes obviously), no point cluttering up your gaff with books you're not gonna read.
Problem is it will be gorilla warfare, their ability to blend into the public will lead innocent still getting killed as well as thousands of our own troops. Can't just send the ground troops in. Covert infiltration is the way. It's something every country can start working towards from with their own boarders. It will already be happening though. It's not something a countries going to advertise.
The radio(BBC news etc) keep refering to the ring leader of this latest outrage as a "mastermind", this is the same broadcasting service that insisted in putting "so-called state of" everytime they mention territory occupied by IS rebels. If Geobells was scripting the news on behalf of these monsters he couldnt do any better.
I am no oil painting but I just wish someone would persuade Theresa May to wear a Burqa - ffs she hit every branch when she fell out of the ugly tree.
Re - information just read on the mainstream media Anonymous has entered the fray and will hunt them down... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...s-attacks-Anonymous-declares-war-on-Isil.html
Good ally to have. They've been busy already. Hope they can get substantial intel on infrastructure and not just limit themselves to cyber attacks.
Our main intelligence on these terrorists comes from surveilance of their social media, websites (public or private) etc. Anonymous will take down websites etc, which will depreive our security forces of information. I know someone who will be pulling their hair out if Anonymous get invloved, because it will make their work so much more difficult. I doubt Anonymous will agree to work with the intelligence services, and they will only cause problems.
I suggested to my wife that we had a clearout, about 18 months ago and she was all for it, she filled 3 bags full of old clothes and I took them to the local charity bin and I read on the bin that 'bags weren't allowed'... picky bastards. Anyhow, as I started to pull the clothes from all 3 bin bags, I realised that she'd just chucked out a load of my gear and nothing of her own... I have the smallest amount of house space known to man where I am allowed to store my worldly belongings, such as my clothes, and she claimed half of it when she lobbed my old gear out. I found of hers, a pair of ****ty old shoes, a belt and a devil halloween outfit that she wore in the bedroom, which I took back home
Not sure what to make of it, they'll never be given access to the tools used by Intel agencies, not in a million years but they could offer something I suppose. Hacking computers and gadgets and intercepting communications is a completely different ball game, the latter requires an absolutely incredible budget. Be nice to see them use their powers for good though
They'd struggle to keep their anonymity then I'd agree, they'd never work together, but they might be useful in some capacity... I'd like to see how many of the Jihadi's are looking at wuffter porn on their phones in private, I wonder if they'd be stuck in an orange boiler suit and cropped if they got found out for being closet mincers.
Sharing their info is part of their philosophy. It's like the police telling these Nonce hunters to stop because it can hamper investigations. But they helped achieve numerous convictions which simply wouldn't have happened without their involvement. Anonymous can be a gateway around international law and could help us gain intel we otherwise wouldn't be able to obtain. They may hamper in areas but it's an organisation who'll roll their sleeves up and get down and dirty. I don't give a **** who brings ISIS to it's knees and I don't care how it's done. Anyone being a thorn in their side is a good thing imo. They have the potential to do more damage than we can, they won't care for international law, just like ISIS don't.
The way I see it. For an example; If we hacked into Turkey's government files that would be viewed as an attack on their country. It would breach international war and Russia would get their backs up. If anonymous do it and publish anything incriminating to the public domain there's **** all Turkey and Russia could do. There's no country to point the finger at, just like we can't with ISIS because it's so far spread. This gives ISIS an enemy that isn't tied to a country. A ****ing bang on weapon if you ask me, I hope they cause them as much chaos and leak as much info as possible, countries who are protecting ISIS in particular.
Anomynous dont have the resources to make a real difference, they will do a few DoS attacks, maybe hack a few computers and publish a few names and get all exited about it but will do nothing that will stop them (ISIS) at all. As I said, the only thing they will do is screw things up for the people who are actively watching ISIS networks, by brining down networks which are under surveliance Unless they coordinate with the Inteligence Services (which will never happen), they will do more harm than good. As I said, I know someone who had to deal with this before when Anomynous decided to "help" and they will be banging their head off their desk at this news.
Totally agree with this mind. On my way to the airport last week, I stopped off at Newcastle to get some trainers and seen a girl in her mid 20's with the headscarf on, then I noticed she was wearing Diesel jeans with some really nice boots. Then I noticed how tidy her legs looked, then I noticed she had quite a bonny face
