Ash tried, along with others, to stop the incident escalating and then Richards turned on him. Ash didn't deserve to be yellow carded. Richards started all of it by shoving Fernandez in the chest. Neither player head butted the other. This not an opinion but what I saw with my own two eyes. Apparently Richards said it was something Fernandez said not anything physical. Every one is entitled to an opinion but if you put it out there then others have the right to call it bollocks if they think it is. For myself I like to see others opinions even if I disagree with them.

"others have the right to call it bollocks". Calling it "bollocks" is one thing, but attacking/insulting individuals for airing an opinion,is another.

"For myself I like to see other opinions even if I disagree with them". Agree with that - it's called debate.
Sadly, although they use the word because it sounds/looks nice, some are unable to countenance it.

Oh come on, my first post on here said a storm in a tea cup, you accused me of sweeping it under the carpet, and the club should be fined £5m, and that we had the most red cards last season.

Then I realised you weren't after debate as you were after reactions from the bullshit you posted. If you want grown up debate then I tell you what vetch ****ing act like a grown up!

Richards charged in respect of tunnel incident.

No charges about the "coming together" .... BBC reports:

"The FA also say they decided to take no action on a coming together involving Richards and Swansea’s Federico Fernandez in the 30th minute of the match at Villa Park."

...the head butt was.., it was just cancelled out by Richards antics previous .Itstead of charging both , they decided to charge neither, happens all the time .If Fernandez hadn't done his " little head butt " , Richards might have faced more from the on pitch antics imo.

You must be watching something different to me, the FA wouldn't cancel a violent incident on the pitch if it was violent.

Wanna bet.Violence is the best carded issue , next is attempted violence.Fernandezs head was the aggressive issue when they were face to face. There was nothing extra for either for the on the pitch antics because it was a trade off . They were going to charge both or neither after the fact , but not one. Imo

I'm with Jager. If they saw ANY excuse to throw the book at Fernandez they would have done. The question is, what went on in the tunnel? The only footage I've seen shows Richards mouthing off and being aggressive just inside. Nobody seems to realise that the Villa players were off the pitch well before the Swans players so they must have waited for them.

I don't often agree with the FA, but do on this, what happened on the pitch was nothing more than you see at most PL games all over the country on a weekly basis and it should have been left alone as it was. There however seems to have been a bit of premeditation on behalf of Richards, there fore the FA have to look at it.

Surely, if he had said something that had overstepped the mark, it would be out in the open by now?

There was clearly no head butt, and I thought our players conducted themselves well considering the aggression of Richards, reminded me of a poster on here <laugh>

Fernandez made a forward movement with his head, and whilst there was minimal contact,it could be construed as a head butt.
He was foolish to do so. On another day, with another ref,he could have been sent off,as could Richards,of course.
As I have stated elsewhere, you can't dig half a hole.
The fact that you don't want to see something, doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Richards has quite rightly been cited for something that went on in the tunnel.
    FIN.

I was stunned to find that this thread hadn't been closed for "obvious reasons".

    IT IS SO "ANTAGONISING". <laugh>

If Fernadez had actually butted Richards he would have broken his own nose- he is at least 3 inches taller than him.
