"Del Bosque then discussed his plans for Spain's upcoming friendly against Uruguay and revealed that in-form duo Michu and Iago Aspas will feature, while advising David Villa to ensure he secures regular playing time at either Barcelona or a club of a similar stature. " what does that say about us "Iago Aspas and Michu will appear," he added. "[As for Villa], he must stay in the top flight, whether at his current club or somewhere similar." What brilliant news for Michu and Swansea . This will put Swansea City's name in even brighter lights making it easier imo to interest players . I mean the question '' Will I get noticed playing at Swansea ?'', must be at the back of some players mind before they sign, and the answer is yes definately which is absolutely fantastic for us as a club! HUW renegotiate ML's contract now we need to keep him and his guys for a lot longer!
Great for Michu! Also nice to see that the World Champions don't have the 'little old Swansea' mentality that the English management have had in overlooking our English contingent, especially Dyer (last year anyway)
Barcelona will not allow Villa to go to the Emirates, from what I've been reading, matter of fact they have put an embargo on him going to any Premiership top four club, hence why we are in the frame, they don't want to be letting him settle with a club that can afford to buy him at the end of his loan period! So I think we have a very good chance here, another reason why Barcelona are favouring Laudrup's Swans....................... please log in to view this image
Is that the same english management/set up that aint won a world cup since 1966 ?? Biggest mistake they ever made was not giving clough the managers job, they have been very consistant in that department ever since.. England have some fine footballers and should be competing in finals, there is no doubt the arrogance of only picking players from big clubs has cost them over the years,it doesnt help when they brand mediocre players as worls class all the time either !! It would be great for Michu to get called up and great for smaller clubs like Swansea,it can only enhance our profile on the world stage
