Cheers Stereo - noticed you posted something similar about it yesterday on your own "stadium expansion" thread and got shot at for your trouble. It's just encouraging to see it going ahead despite our relegation, and although we were already committed to it for other reasons, it gives us a sense of purpose for the future. No doubt mentioning the inaction over your own proposed expansion at the Liberty could well invoke some sort of indignant post from fellow posters of yours, but I will anyway. Hope it gets underway whilst your still in the Premier League, because if the unthinkable happens and you lose that status, I fear it never will. You haven't the space around your ground to provide the scope for development that we enjoy, and the effective ownership (150 year lease) of the site means there are no other interested parties sticking their oar in other than the City Planning Authority. The infrastructure/access is already in place, so it was just a question of overcoming local minor issues like resident parking and improving footpath access. Good luck to you anyway.
Thank you for that gem. Nothing personal, but the "size doesn't matter" mantra is usually trotted out by the inadequate in other fields. Increasing the "size" always helps self esteem, but I agree, you have to be able to perform as well. In those immortal words - "getting it up is only the start - you then have to work at it" applies to the stadium expansion and in other walks of life.
