Too old? He's the same age as Ba and a year older than Cabaye, bags of pace, a wicked left foot and would probably cost around £6mil.

He's only scored about 10 goals in the last 2 years hasn't he? He left Bayern for Koln for about £10mill

    No worries!

He's just finding his form again at FC Koln, 14 in 34 apps, and has 42 goals in 83 apps for Germany.

Probably not likely to happen but would be worth a shout.

Not many Erdinc fans here then, I think he's a cracking player. In a good team he'd benefit leading the attack, especially infront of HBA, Zogs and Jonas. He's fast, skillful, holds the ball quite well for a smallish lad and got a good head on him, I think he'll thrive. Maybe not world class like but a league ahead of what we have now.

I reckon he'll be as good as Moussa Sow, easy. If Erdinc had Hazard, Gervinho and Cabaye setting him up every game his goal record would be equally impressive. Also, I'm guessing if he's surplus to requirements at PSG due to Gameiro signing I reckon we'll get him for about £5m. Well worth a punt!

Is Podolski an out and out striker though. Always thought he was more of an inside forward type of player.

He plays out and out striker for Koln and has done for Germany, always played along side a ball winner like Klose.

So anyone know much about this guy? I can't say I keep tabs on foreign players as much as I should. Just watching him on YT - seems to have decent versailtity, can head the ball as well as having a bit of trickery. Of course, YT videos are never the best source of information (ask Dennis Wise).

This is exciting that we're (trying to) get deals wrapped up quickly, though. Bodes well.

Where's zeTom when you need him, he used to be good value on 606 through the off season for random player suggestions .. is he knocking about on not606 under a different moniker?

Hat about klose hes a free and hes still got an eye for goal. As for lucas podolski i like him hes got a hell of a left boot and is a decent striker pace and strength hes got aswell. How much do u reckon he will be though? And im sure hes turned down moves to england before as has klosem id be delighted with either of them easily beTter than what we have currently got

Has averaged 12 goals a season for the last 4 years, hardly sets the world alight.

    He's 5, 11", ugly as ****!

Klose signed a 2 year deal with Lazio mate.

I would say between £6-£8mil for Podolski. Not sure if he's turned down a move here. I know he was linked with Chelsea before he signed for Bayern but that didn't work out well.

He's a decent enough player to have up front. In no way will he set the world alight but given enough ammunition he can score goals.

He's never been prolific so if people are hoping for a 20+ goals a season player; he's not it but there are very few players out there who will get 20+ a season in the Premier League. Last season only 2 players hit 20 each.

If he can get 10/12 a season then he would be ranked as one of the top 15 strikers in the country.

Does that mean Nolan is among the top 15 strikers in the country? <whistle>

I don't think he's going to be a great signing. I'd prefer to spend a bit more for someone who has potential, like Sturridge.
