They're moving house. As someone on Twitter said, moving such a small team can be immensely complicated and they just can't fit everything in.

It's a shame, though, that they can only just afford to attend the races and even a day or two's testing is beyond their means. Then again, I always used to feel sorry for the kid in school who wore Dunlop Green Flash.

worrying for HRT because as other teams make big steps from testing they could find themselves out of the 107% in quali, lets hope the wind tunnel developments are good enough.

there really is no point in HRT being in formula 1 if they can't improve their car to keep up. Marussia will now for sure leave them in the dust for at least the next few races, and they won't be able to make it up easily if they don't have any money. I also can't believe that the team are making money from this enterprise.

maybe F1 should introduce a rule saying that new teams must make at least 1 point in their first 3/4 years of racing, before being kicked out, because they are just too slow and become a nuisance on the track.

On the front of HRT i have posted this a few times before. They have a much lighter version of their car coming. The original car was built in Germany but over the winter they had been moving away from Kolles team and moving to madrid.

Also the car was built to have KERS installed where as the Marussia is not.

At first I thought McLaren were crazy not using their race drivers but then Jenson said they are trying "some very extreme things", now I am confident they know what they're doing.

On the flying lap they said Mugello was all about traction and suspension and very little aero if I heard right. So for F1 cars the testing data there might be quite small when it's all collected over the 3 days.

They could get some important set up info for Monaco in that case. I expect Lotus and McLaren to be strong.

Oi! 'Amilton! NO!

When your driver wants to drive, you let him drive. No big updates will be even better for Lewis, as he can get more experience in the car and improve his results in later races. Maybe he wants more time so he can better adapt to the current Pirelli tyres, or maybe he hasn't found the perfect set-up yet. Whatever the reason, McLaren could easily have changed their testing schedule to give Hamilton some time. At the very least, they could have given him a day, or replaced Turvey.
