So looks like Williams is getting closer.... seems agent has spilled some beans.

 

I cant remember the last time I wanted us NOT to sign a player as much as Williams, I think signing him will cost BR his job

 

But Swansea again though? really? Just feels played out. Don't think it will be worth the 10-15 we will shell out.

I'll be really annoyed if we've given them around 40 mill total for those three...and it's looking likely. We're not exactly swimming in money, need smart buys from abroad, not expensive, **** signings from home.

I don't mind Williams ... but £12m?? You're having a laugh. This is probably the first (and only) time where I want FSG to be strict with their youth policy!

As others have mentioned: £15m for Allen, £10m for Borini and a potential £12m for Williams. After a very promising January transfer window, I thought we were going to
finally get top quality and good prices.

If we do get Williams for the expected amount, I do hope Rodgers has enough money to spend elsewhere on real quality - if Williams prevents us from signing the likes of Alderweirald, Gameiro, Eriksent etc, I'll be very disappointed.

However, I suspect Rodgers will be willing to spend £12m on Williams because he thinks he can recoup that money from the Skrtel sale and Carraghers wages. I presume Williams will be on considerably less than those two.
