Sanchez doesn't stand out in the Barca team. He's been terrible, granted but I believe he would be a top performer if he played in any other team.

I thought Downing was bad, at least I saw him on the pitch for us. Can't remember Dempsey doing anything for us all season <whistle>

We can't compete for the best players in the World anymore so I guess we're restricited but agree that at least we are signing young players with potential ahead of players that are British, from Prem teams lower than us in the table and for inflated prices (Allen being the exception).

He's far too lightweight to cut it in the PL IMO, if he can't cut it at Barca given the number if chances per game he'll be presented with, he'd bomb at Anfield

Ahhh, the old "far too lightweight for the PL" arguement. Much like Mata, Silva, Coutinho, Hazard, Oscar, Modric, Osman, Peinaar to name but just a few, who have all been terrible since they've arrived in the PL. That's why no one is going for Messi, he'd be far too lightweight and would be crap <ok>

the last 5 - 10 years has seen a massive switch from teams playing with 10 6ft+ players (think Portsmouth under Redknapp) to teams with smaller technical players who are centres around passing the ball and keeping it on the floor now.

Will those players be able to physically dominate others? Probably not - can those players keep the ball by shielding it using their body strength and intelligence? Yes. Keeping the ball and competing is much more than just being able to bench 200kg in the gym and being 6ft tall.

Here's a clip of Mkhit against Chelsea - prefer these videos over the typical complications as it shows pretty much every touch the player has during the game.

Very tidy player on the ball, with great body strength and pace - has a bullet of a shot as well combined with sweet technique.

He's a striker not a winger, but in any case, my main point was that he's ****e

Sanchez isn't a striker. Have you even watched him play? This reminds me of Lettuce saying Aguero was left footed.

Thought Sanchez played up top with Di Natale sometimes for Udinese?

But yes mainly a winger or second striker.

The Mkhitaryan guy looks to have a real eye for goal and sweet technique.

Sanchez is a modern day forward, he can play anywhere in the final third, hence forward, not striker, not winger, but forward. Same as Messi. I'd take him, aslong as it's below 10 mil.

    know what you mean Frank,

we seem to get this ****e every season, looks like he only commits when his options to go elsewhere have run out, think that's why a few are not bothered anymore if he stays or goes.

    He's a forward, who'll play wide right of a 3 or centrally i.e. he's a ****ing striker.

Fellaini is a DM player who's been used up front at times.

Sanchez is a striker, it's not complicated love.
