Why the **** did Suarez want that included in his contract? I know why obviously but he knows it could've screwed us over just like it is, ****ing joke

release prices are really common across the continent. In italy and spain clubs seem to put RIDICULOUS ones in like 100mil euros.... here we hear baout reasonable ones that almost favor players... eg newkie and BA!
40mil is a very fair price so i utterly fail to see why people are angry... is it bale rumoured price.... cos frankly when the real business starts bale aint going for Ronaldo like money... he's a 40mil player too max.

 

I've news for the lad.... the press are 500 times worse in spain... the press never leave players alone there. I thikn its hilarious and we are lucky to get 40mil for him. He'll last 2 years in madrid max.

 

What do we and who do we need then? Assuming Sturridge will lead the line and Coutinho can play number 10 or on the wing. We obviously need a player of the same mould. Considering we will have a lot to spend, who does everyone want?

 

Could spend the money on a good winger... Mertens?

 

look we obviously need an alternative to sturridge who is proving to be very injury prone.... we need to go 4-2-3-1 to put coutinho deep playmaking and find space so we need left side and right side... simply put 3 players and downing and borini aint it.

That puts you at 27 million with still money left to spend and th 20 million ear marked from FSG. You really could do a lot of FIRST TEAM improving which in turns builds your depth with that kind of cash. It is a tough situation no doubt and think it ultimately is up to Suarez, if he goes we get as much as possible, if he stays, help us get the CL mate.

 

If we are saying Sturridge and Ford are in the middle then I'd like to see us splash a chunk of cash on a quality winger or AM. Would love Eriksen but that seems dead now.

 

I also have real reservations over his consistency over a full season. I really don't think we can rely on him as our only sriker (not counting borini) for 38 games + all cups. At Chelsea he was prone to drops in form. Defoe is the same for Spurs, he goes through phases where he is unlpayable (one game he netted 4 a year ago) and then drifts away for a couple of weeks

 

exactly. i reviewed his record when he signed and half the time he was injured for cheslea and the record is continuing.. little strains and pulls. he's done another for england. We need a good forward option to compete with him.

Also..... suarez really can't use the press as an excuse to go to spain cos he needs to get real and be truthful. he's going to get stalked over there cos all players do. It seems very naive. though uraguay players are not so common there forlan should still be able to tell him what its like.

well with Suarez leaving we need another striker. We could also do with 2 wingers, a few defenders, a keeper and perhaps another midfielder. So, just the few minor "additions" to the squad...
