    We've spoken to Lyon with regards to Clément Grenier - another decent prospect (according to L'Equipe and Julien Laurens).

    Also, some outlet reported that Carroll had rejected West Ham - David Gold tweeted this morning saying it was news to him.

    well i can't wait for the "big name" to be revealed.

    I hope we sell suarez for 160mil to real and take in dimaria to play one side and alonso to play in behind then stick gerrard further forward with coutinho..

    Maybe we'll buy higuin as well.

    Or maybe its all tosh and ashely puking Williams will turn up.

    Spoke to my mate at lunch and he still won't tell me who it is. This is highly unusual and would indicate that it is someone who is high profile.

    Other news (I think) is that Martinez has resigned and WILL be going to Everton <ok>

    He's not a 'website boy'. He's a rag boy. He won't say anything other than it's someone I know (not personally). It's just not like him to say nothing to me, which in its way says a lot <ok> He'll tell me as soon as he gets the nod.

    only issue rhc is i know he's a newspaper guy cos you told me before but i am wondering what ayre and rodgers were doing having dinner with a newspaper hack... <laugh>

    anyway.... i reckon its one of those names that isn't making him wet himself cos usually you come on all excited but have been sworn to secrecy.
