Sadly the cut off point is 2 September which means Suarez would of missed another game and will only have 2 games left to serve on his ban.
One game, there will be a League Cup game (second round) in there somewhere not sure when the third round is but I know that if Suarez stayed and we got beyond the second round, he only misses four league games.
I'm guessing this is why LFC aren't looking to buy Eriksen because he's not the right type of player. We want a goal scorer - either from midfield or up front. Eriksen doesn't score enough goals. Still would like him ...
He misses the Stoke and Villa game then the league cup 2nd round game then misses the United game on 1 September so when the window closes he would of served 4 of his 6 games
He would create enough goal scoring opportunities though. Maybe we can't afford more than one unless Luis leaves? this takes me back to my point above, we won't do anything until Luis leaves because it effects BR's planning
Not sure about a cut off point, but if we are going to sell Suarez I would rather it be before the season starts so we can get someone in early. Rather than sell him halfway through his ban and go through a few games without a decent attacker.
When I worked it out before he was due back against Southampton. Having looked at the fixture list, we play Swansea inbetween Man Utd and Southampton so what you're saying sounds about right
I assume that that was what BR was referring to; our cut-off point with a view to getting a replacement as opposed to any official one ( which is obviously the end of the window)
I viewed it as merely being a call to make your bid before he goes lads... hoping real or bayern jump but of course if psg dive right in with another 55mil.... that'd be spectacular.
Of course not. I presume it's bullshit to make them get a move on, if they're going to, by suggesting we will flatly refuse to sell after a certain point.
Or a way of saying that Suarez is available at the right price and there is a club interested which may entice other clubs into a bidding war

Liverpool are considering tabling a £10m bid for Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic. The Gunners were also eyeing up a move for the 25-year-old in the off-season but have since cooled their interest as they pursue other target. Ilicic has grown in stature at Palermo, and was highly impressive for the Serie A outfit, as he clocked up 31 appearances. But reports emanating from Italy suggest that Liverpool could swoop in for him, with Palermo facing up to life in Serie B next season. Ilicic's agent had originally said in May that offers from Italian clubs will be given priority. "He will certainly leave Palermo. He is wanted by several different sides, Italian and overseas, but we are still in the beginning of the process," Amir Ruznic told Sky Sports. "In any case, Italian offers have the priority. AC Milan? I have not been contacted directly by the Rossoneri, but that doesn't mean the two clubs haven't been in talks." Liverpool are likely to face stiff competition from Fiorentina, and the midfielder hasn't hidden his desire to join La Viola. "Fiorentina are the team I like the most in Italy, they made a great team and will fight for the Scudetto with Juventus next year," said Ilicic. "Fiorentina are the team who inspire me the most in terms of the quality of their football. And I also know that I can't jump steps." Ilicic hit double figures in Serie A last season. we could try... if we got lucky enough for psg to come in woe could certainly try to maximize the return. I think though at that point its entirely down to moving him quick in case real turn up with 40million and 1 euros.
