Think one of BR's strong points is PR! It's sort of ironic that we were recently talking about putting the youngsters with most promise out on loan .... Reina's always going to be number two to Casillas for Spain and will get picked again along with Valdes for next year's WC squad whether he was sharing time at Liverpool or starter for Napoli, imo.
He has never been and never will be. Not his fault, just that their are favourites. Loaning him to Italy is solely a wages thing, but lucky him getting to play under Benitez. We don't have that luxury.
agree with lucas on this one. casillais is a very lucky keeper, purely a shot stopper and certainly favoured. reina is all round better and valdes? he's not that great. We will have to look at what we will be in 2/3 years time. i can only see a very young cheap side.
The Spanish national team tends to favour players who stay in Spain over those who go abroad but come off it, Casillas is probably second only to Buffon as best in the world.
