£21.5m for Carroll and Shelvey - pretty happy with that. I think we're close to breaking even for this transfer window, and will soon be in profit once the Ince deal goes through. Ilori is not worth 12m and I'm pretty sure the club will have laughed at their valuation. Won't be happy if we spend more than €5m on him, same with Itsu.
I would say he's raw. Which basically means he has good pace but still needs to work on his output and decision making. But for about £4m, we would be getting a young player with good experience - established player at Porto so he won't be fazed playing for LFC. Think it would be worth the risk.

He may be young, but has good experience - just like Coutinho and Sturridge. Both are young (in terms of age) but have played for some big clubs and understand the pressures and attention that comes with it. This is why I think players like Adam, Carroll, Downing have struggled because they have a small club mentality.
I suppose mate, just hoping we're going to get another CB in, don't want Toure to be our only defender we get in this summer.
I think a few media outlets have reported our interest has ended in Papa which is a big shame but there were concerns over his injury. Perhaps Rodgers is willing to persist with Skrtel and youngsters like Wisdom and Kelly? (In addition to Toure)
In a perfect world, I would love to keep Skrtel and Coates but I feel they both could command decent fees which would allow us to invest in other players who are more likely to play in the first team and provide competition.
Fairy muff Still think Skrtel does have a big role to play, he was our best player in the 11/12 season when our defence shone, although I think the way Johnson plays in the current formation doesn't suit Skrtel at all, let alone holding a high line. But in the second half of the season our tactics slightly changed and we played more counter attacking which in my opinion does suit Skrtel and hopefully he'll get a chance to prove his worth in pre-season.

If we are going for RB/LB, would love to go for Carvajal ( on loan last year to LEverkusen and now back with Madrid). Doubt we could get him but he is the next one in line in the Spanish line up and could push his way into the full squad by WC time.
