yeah if the mirror reported actual facts then they would have gotten it saturday. no bids and will we ever bid?
no sure it was ferguson more than sure fire medals. appoint moyes and its oh... should i? when there are 2 clubs in frnace and two in england offering truly silly wages before we even mention the likes of the russians or the real big clubs in spain and germany.... well there's no monetary attraction at utd so frankly its all about medals and lifestyle. we'll see i guess.
I reckon they'll end up with Fellaini and a few youngsters. And perhaps Baines, no signings that would put fear in to Chelsea or City.
very true, we do not know what is being done but i think its fair to say we can make the supposition that no bid has gone in here. there's a few guys in the press that when they say something that strong you know its prob true. Barrett for instance. the HG players? Its stil there but if you look at the prem and the rule it really means you register 17 foriegners and 8 hg, if you go do 19 players its will 8 hg..... its kind of easy register 8 hg. our Hg this year should be: gerrard kelly johnson henderson sturridge DOWNING... FFS Allen yup he qualifies jones the 17 we would need to register would not i think need to include coutinho due to his age, nor alberto. reina mingolet enrique agger skertl toure lucas suarez aspas assaidi borini.. maybe see the issue.... we can buy 6 more players before even thinking on this rule.
maybe so. everton are under no immediate pressure to sell but will need to go do it. I think its fair to say utd will have a good side this year no matter if they don't sign but they will need to back moyes eventually and that'll be interesting.
Would be better for us if those two (or at least one) stays there. Everton being given a £40m war chest won't be good for us
all are u21 so don't need registering the point is we've about 19 players >21 and you know most others don't get over 20-21 anyway.
what would everton buy? hooper? what has martinez showed at wigan anything more than small risks on guys peopel thought were good? mccarthy for example? 40mil to everotn would do what, pay off bank debts, a bit of refurb and what 20mil for a set of players?
Without writing of Everton I feel as if we should be looking at what Spurs and Arsenal do rather than themselves. Of course they could do a lot with £40m but they'd also be losing their two star players. But Spurs and Arsenal will be spending that sort of cash regardless, and it's going to be very tough next season to even get close to them (though I'm quietly optimistic).
Sánto ‏@Zizouology JUST IN: Talks in Brazil suggests Liverpool have definitely enquired about Bernard. Nothing concrete. More news after Libertadores final.
Here's a question: Eriksen & Alderweireld or Papadopoulos & Bernard Both possibly around the £18m-£22m mark
Definitely the former for 2 reasons. Papadopulous has been out since the new year and hasn't even returned to training yet, and Bernard is very similar to Coutinho, whereas Eriksen is the more all-rounded sort of midfielder.
See, despite the injury I'd go the other way because we severely lack a dominant player in the air. Alder and Agger are similar and I'd see them in competition for a place rather than a partnership. Reason I asked that question is because I'd prefer Papa and Eriksen but Eriksen and Alder seem to be a package ATM.
I agree with that but if Papa's injurys continue to be a problem then we have our main partnership (Papa and Agger) being injury prone. Of course though if that is a problem he won't pass the medical, but I do agree that Papa and Eriksen would be the perfect combination, and our first XI would be considerably improved with both of them.
Good shout but we would also need a forward Edit: If we have £20m (ish) to spend on these and we should Suarez, I guess we'd have upwards of £60m to spend. Buying all four would leave about £20m for a forward I guess. Wages would be bumped a bit though
