Coutinho and Bernard are way too similar, we should be looking at Eriksen. The price is also way too steep, we could get Eriksen and a CB for that money.
Faster Bernard is; he could play on the wing. We need options from the bench, at any rate. Have both, I would.

Alex K proved that guys who don;t look necessarally good enough can really benefit form being given a go. If rodgers is behind this "change" and it really is a change where good youths are being driven on not driven out then i say thank GOD! finally we are showing some sense. Ibe and sterling in the seniors and others who need the experience to push past a downing or such get a lift by he club building good links with clubs really known for postive youth development. I think having read it it seems to me he's trying too hard to be a manager and not just a coach. if he's an elite level uefa coach he ought to be trying to get a weeks invite to an academy and working up there... not guam in the apcific. j league next then who knows... some **** hole in the middle east? seems over ambitious and unwilling to accept a coach at junior levels.
Surely any job within football would be a stepping stone? However, I'd say qualifications are only so much. For example, I bet there are millions of people with more swimming badges than Phelps. A person can do the paperwork but putting it into practice is a different matter. Especially the things that these courses do not teach such as player judgement.
I'd say phelps has a few badges. the thing is the law in real countries is you must have your badges before you get a job.. in this place lads like shearer can swan in then f off to be a pundit when he relegates a side. example is platt who was basically run out of italy cos he was given a job without badges and the whole place closed ranks on him.... the "fine" job he did with city just goes to show
