Said this last year as well as this. IMO, it gives us options for twelve months before putting us back to square one. If there is an option to buy then it eats into next years budget and we end up having to look at loans again because we've spent up.

The only positive is if the loaned players help us get top four as that would enable us to attract better players rather than sign the loanees. However, that is a risk in its self too.

 

I always used to buy Sahko on FM 01 when you could sign him for free along with his team mate Younousse Sankharé (who?). They both turned out to be 2 of best young players on the game

 

Agreed, the team know what they're doing so ill trust their judgement, I just can't see the point in it tbh.

 

I see it as not being able to get the forward player we really want so loaning a decent one for the season until we can - rather do that than have no player at all

 

Yeah but on the other hand if they dont work out you havent wasted money

(im not keen on loan deals though either actually)

 

Surely we'd only sign them permanently if they've done well for us, therefore you're signing a player that is less of a gamble having already played a season and gelled with the team. Does it matter if it eats into next seasons budget or not?

 

If they do really well they could ****off somewhere else too

 

Im sad in the fact I only play with the real life squad we have, if we sign or sell someone in real life I do so on this but since breaking my leg ive had a lot of sofa time so got to far in the game to keep up with real life squad

 

That's why you've hopefully set up some deal before hand allowing you to make it permanent. If they then **** off for a better offer then rather not have them anyway. Also after having them for a year an if they've done well, you'd think they'd form some sort of loyalty ( loyalty in football?!) and want to stay.

 

James Pearce of the Echo says it will be £12mil for Sakho. Don't know where the figures of 18-20mil are coming from.

 

There are always loop holes. the last bit is my concern but I agree about only wanting players that want to play for the Liverbird

 

So basically, we are possibly signing Sakho for between £10m and £19.6m...?
