The question mark lands with Moyes IMO. Will he go for broke and try to get that first win at Anfield? Or will he play a tight game and be happy to take a point? With us being at home, there is no way we will sit back and defend. Not sure we'd even do that at Old Trafford TBH
I think you lot are missing the actual high level of quality of passing in that game last night. it was not just a disjointed hoofing session, utd are more than capable of passing it. We'll go some to match intensity of that game. mourinho was mad to go with the two guys he did and not mata and torres. he could have won with mata in.
I thought both teams were sloppy on the ball. Even with their possession, Man Utd didn't pose any real threat - it's as if they're expecting RVP to produce something special. I maintain that I feel that their midfield is a weak link. Nullify RVP and Rooney (easier said than done) and they lack the creativity to harm us.
Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this new Suarez contract? I haven't spoken to my mate over the weekend.
I'd agree at the highest level yes. we cannot judge last night in comparison to villa. we can only judge when we play utd where we are at relative to these sides.
Nope. But you could speak to your mate maybe?! C'mon throw us another game like Robben - needs livening up in here! Make it up if you want!?
Sorry Mito, there was not the same degree of accurate passing from either side than was shown by us in the first half on Saturday - nothing like. Neither side changed their tactics until Chelsea brought on Torres in the second half. The pattern (if that is what it was) was fixed from the off. Now I can understand Chelsea's desire to see that happen. For United it merely identified what we have been saying for almost 2 season so far - their midfield is crap!
Credit must go to Fergie for what we achieved with them. Now that Moyes is at the helm, I don't think he can extract the same level of quality from the same players.
Looks like Assaidi is going out on loan to Stoke. The loan deal for Moses now makes sense (1 in 1 out) but also indicates that we're still looking for another attacker (LW) ...
Yeah exactly - makes sense. Think he's a useful option to come off the bench - a more refined version of Ibe and Sterling.
Are there actually decent rumours going round about Moses or is it just the daily fail that's reporting it?
Don't think that's true... they have enough strength out wide to harm us from crosses. Awful game last night though.
Assaidi out on loan and Moses in on loan makes sense. The former won't play whereas the latter could make a difference from the bench. I'm not a fan of loaning players in though. Moses and Cissokho could theoretically form a fabulous partnership down the left hand side only for us to it completely disappear next summer meaning we have to start again (I know we have an option to buy with Aly but he my opt to go elsewhere)
