i don't really agree on eriksen pushin coutinho wide. it is only one option. he could eqaully play wide right as he has done in his ajax career meaning it'd be aspas out unless he plays left. you could play eriksen in place of hendo... as you say... he would be class, improve the team for sturridge money etc etc... its merely a question of why not? the reasons can be many but it seems to me that mkhitaryan was perferred early who would have been quite similar.... costa is radically different suggesting a suarez replacement and willian is left wing mroe or less... that would suggest to me rodgers is thinking of different fits on each target so who knows... if he comes back to eriksen at all he could think of a different way to use him.
http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/pre...ol-eriksen-chase-upped-after-willian-snub.php remember mike ashely's lying website.... well he it is again.
I'm put off Erikssen simply by the complete lack of interest by anyone this summer. For someone who is relatively cheap, why wouldn't we or others go for such a talent.
dont think anyone was really interested in Coutinho or Sturridge were they, so wouldn't read too much into that. might be an attitude thing, if we had a player who wanted to come and had a point to prove he can make it in a harder league he might be worth a shot as he is obviously talented, wonder if he is another Willian lol so clubs are put off as they will just jump ship the minute a better offer comes along.
Has he actually whored himself out? Or is it just the papers? They manipulate answers to questions so it sounds like they're pushing for a move. From what I could tell in previous windows, he was happy to stay at Ajax to develop. Which is sensible.
If you look at the diagram from the Stoke games that showed every players every positions it looked some thing like this in attack: http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/142888-opta-chalkboards-lfc-1-0-stoke --Henderson------------------------------------------ -----------------Aspas----------Coutinho-------------- -------------------Sturridge--------------------------- It was almost 442 at times. Last season Suarez played behind Suarez with Coutinho and Downing either side. Coutinho would come inside and do his thing. -----------Lucas----------------- -----------------Gerrard---------- ---Erikson-------------Coutinho--- ------------Aspas----------------- ---------------Sturridge----------- Full backs add the width. This is certainly quick, creative, good o the ball and very interchangeable. If Suarez stays he swaps with Aspas.
Eriksen might be a Sturridge/Coutinho type, got the talent but not shown it recently and has a point to prove.
and thats fair too. we can't as fans have any clue as to attitude really. the only evidence is prior actions. which is why not having seen willian play but seeing his off field decisions i would slot him into a scott sinclair type category and can see him leaving chelsea... well being told to chuff off eventually.
i suppose... though "some" cheslea players are there for the team.... who i don't know but some must be... they can't ALL be money grubbers
of course... i forgot about mourinho's two loyal servants. the ones who undermined a succession of managers and ran the show.
