We could easily have scored 3 or more. Good performance, lots of chances created, lots of shots on target which needed good saves to keep out and that was the first game of the season against a team well known to be hard to break down and our first real opponents of the season (preseason teams were gash) so not exactly at our sharpest. So yeah, lots of positives and optimism that we can push on. Wetting themselves is a bit extreme though
Normally we struggle to break down these teams - we cut them open quite a few times. Shoddy finishing almost let us down but we survived and we start the season off with a win. Compare to last season where we outplayed by West Brom and lost 3-0.

Even before the interest in Willian I said we definately needed at least two signings more. A CB and winger. If we miss out on Willian, then fine, but I hope we have a plan D

I think most sane fans knew that we need to add a LB, CB and Winger/AMF/Striker. We've added a LB in Cissokho, two more quality signings (again, need not be a BIG name) and we'll compete, will we get top four? Who knows but we can't give up after one game (which we won) and after our rivals buy players, which they are allowed to do...
That may be the case, but two weeks ago he wasn't integral to our season, now that he's gone else where he is?
