Just watched us on MOTD, some really nice link up play between Sturridge, Coutihno and Aspas.

If we got Willian though, with Suarez coming back it would be orgasmic. Especially with Aspas, Alberto, sterling, Ibe and Henderson as back ups.

    GK - Mig/Jones
    RB - Johnsno/Kelly
    LCB - Agger/Sakho
    RCB - Toure/Wisdom
    LB - Enrique/Cissokho

    CM - 2 from Gerrard/Lucas/Henderson/Allen
AM - Coutinho/Albero (Gerrard or Henderson could play here)

    Wide Forwards - 2 from Willian/Suarez/Aspas/Sterling/Ibe
CF - Sturridge (Suarez/Aspas could play here)

Strong 1st team player in each position with a few players being able to play just as well in a 2nd position.

I'd feel confident with that team and the back ups being played in the Prem <ok>

Atletico Madrid's 26-year-old playmaker Arda Turan's possible move to either Liverpool or Arsenal has moved a step closer. His agent has been quoted as saying that Turan's transfer to the Premier League this summer is 'probable'.

    from BBC gossip pages

It's not a summer if we are linked with Turan <laugh>
I swear we were linked with him under Rafa, now they think 3 managers later, we'd still be after the same target <doh>

£15mil?! Was being quoted as £30mil earlier...

Can't see him going to Newcastle, no offence to them but he'd have teams better placed them lining up to sign him.

If he does go, it would mean that we didn't want him.

Has there been a summer in the last 6/7 years we haven't been linked with him.

Think its time the gossip writers gave up on that one

Thought I read somewhere that Billy Hogan had been granted exclusive rights to talk to the lad. If true that we are way ahead of Newcastle.

All I know is that Willian started following Lucas and Coutinho on Twitter.

Agreed ,he's not coming ,stop getting excited over a few wild paper reports that carry virtually no real accurate facts and loads of stupid tweets that anyone could make up.

    But if he did come......<party><party><party>

Just to make a point this report from the Mirror has got to be one of the worst pieces of reporting. It's lazy and says we are close to signing willian then goes on to say Newcastle will.:

Liverpool are on the brink of signing Brazil star Willian.

In the past few days, *Newcastle have *entered the race to sign the winger, who can leave his Russian League club Anzhi Makhachkala.

But Anfield sources *believe they can clinch the *£15million recruitment of the Brazil international.

The Toon registered their *interest last week and hope to resume talks ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City at the *Etihad on Monday.

Joe Kinnear, Newcastle's Director of Football, has been scouring Europe.

He watched Belgium draw 0-0 with France last Wednesday.

And he has been given the all-clear by owner Mike Ashley to bring in the *players needed to make Newcastle a force in the *Premier League and prevent a repeat of last season when they came perilously close to relegation.

Willian has made it clear he would like to try his luck in the Premier League where his compatriots Oscar and David Luiz are at Chelsea while Sandro has been a *success at Tottenham.

During the summer, the Brazilian invasion has* continued, with Fernandinho joining Manchester City while Paulinho has teamed up with Sandro at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool were the early front-runners to land Willian until Newcastle made their move.

He has also been linked with Tottenham and Manchester United, but the Anfield giants believe they can still land their *target.

its hilarious.... something a spoof would write.

    1. the fee is very funny

    2. the thought of joe kinnear knowing where europe is never mind how to scour it is simply hilarious.

    3. everyone will talk on monday... its a classic.. oh there's football on so....

    4. as for mike ashely doing anything to make newkie "a force" thats truely f'n hilarious.

If wunter under meijer returned for the week this si the type of sillyness it would contain.

The arrogance of some of your fans knows no boundaries. I used to have a great deal of respect for Liverpool and it's fans in the 70's and 80's, but you lot aren't in the same class as your forefathers.

If you read that you will see there is no sign of our fans acknowledging we have a chance of signing him.

I think that was probably a pisstake at some of the Arsenal fans who claim they were never interested in any of the targets who eventually signed for other clubs, nothing personal against Newcastle <ok>
