Agree with this, you need players in as early as possible so they can start the season on the same wave length as the rest of our team/squad.
I don't think it's lack of effort though, I think we've just found it really difficult to get the people we (the club, not the fans, necessarily) want. It's a problem we're going to have to deal with often in the foreseeable future.

If suarez went we would be looking like we've nothing but even so now we are unsure of him being himself. I think we do need to buy but am more in hope than expectation.
A new signing arriving later can also add momentum going into September, if they're a 'big' signing. Really hope we add a player to get really excited over.
Looks like we've signed Crewe's Academy Director - Neil Critchley. He's highly regarded in the game. In addition, he's only 1 of 16 FA Elite Coaches in this country. He'll replace Steve Cooper as u18 coach.
well I have to say ok that sounds like there is work being down at under age level. I would hope that if you look at the coaches being brought in like alex inglethorpe and now this guy that we are building a sustainable coaching structure from which the first team coaching can also pick from. No bad thing IMO. i was worried when rafa left the spanish would go and we'd do nothing but this seems to be an FSG key strategic platform so they have added head coaches at each age group when required and picked the best they can get too.
