This transfer window started so promisingly but it is fizzling out so quickly. The quick signings of Alberto, Aspas & Toure plus rumours of bids for Henrikh & Papa made it look as if we were serious about improving the squad and were going to spend a decent chunk of money but we failed to get either of our two main targets and now we are battling to just keep the squad at the same level by keeping Suarez. I know there's another 2 or 3 weeks until it closes but its not very promising, even our secondary target (Costa) has turned us down.

I hate players arriving after the season starts. they end up parachuted in and then have to "settle" we've the came number of players now as when we started so had depth got better? I think basic quality has but not depth. we've got plenty of players really for the campaign... but the same issue of defensive frailty and lethal goalscorer still exist.
