Eriksen is not as good as many seem to think. Lots of potential but inconsistent and can get lost in games. Would take him though. Strong squad with him, Melgarejo, Papa...

I see Dempsey has left spurs! To think we were in for him last year and we were all pissed off that spurs nabbed him and sigurdsson from under our noses. Well maybe any target we go for that spurs show an interest in we should leave alone because those two did very very little for them. The other thing is that at least the players we have bought in and all the ones we are linked with are of better quality than Dempsey and sigurdsson ...players we were quite keen to have at one time. On another point, having watched our last three games is its very encouraging to see downing playing very little part. In fact he hasn't played at all the last two games. Will probably end up rotting as a bit part player. He wont want to leave Liverpool unless another club ends up paying same wages. No Purslow was awful. He worked to get Rafa out, helping to pin the blame on him. He signed Joe Cole when neither Rafa or Roy wanted him and put him on huge wages. He hired Roy Hodgson as manager. He forced players like Insua to leave and tried to force Lucas. Maybe you are thinking of Martin Broughton.
